Faction Candide 3.0 Skis 2019

The most versatile of all the Candide variants, the Faction Candide 3.0 Skis rock a do-it-all 108 mm waist, directional "true" twin shape, and plenty of rocker at both ends. A light but stout hybrid core of Balsa, Poplar and Flax fiber is the foundation of this and other Candide models, and it's a great, light and strong way to build a ski. If you watched Candide latest video and are dreaming of having "one of those days," this is the setup for you.

Rocker Type

Rocker / Camber / Rocker330 mm tip rocker, 2 mm camber, 320 mm subtle tail rocker

Flex

Flex: 7 / 10(1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)

Shape

Directional True TwinThere is some tail taper in this ski, but the design is meant to encourage switch skiing and jibbing.

Core

Hybrid Balsa-Poplar-Flax CoreBalsa is a sandy-colored softwood with exceptional strength for its light weight. Reinforce the super lightweight Balsa with earthy-colored, robust Flax fibre plus Poplar strips and you have a durable wood core that holds an edge like skis twice the weight. During the drying process, cells of water in the Balsa wood are driven off, leaving behind a strong core with no excess weight.

Laminates

Titanal Binding PlateWhen you're on a day-long touring trip in the backcountry, you need to rely on your gear. Titanal reinforcement plates are laid up on top of the lightweight cores ensuring that your binding screws hold. This one-piece design fits alpine and touring bindings, adding trustworthy durability to these lightweight cores.

Sidewalls

Full Strength Sidewall Construction with MicrocapSandwich sidewall construction for power and edgehold, with a topsheet that wraps around and meets the sidewall for durability.

Base

Die-Cut P-Tex 3000

Additional Features

Anti-Scratch Textured Topsheet

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Look Pivot 12 AW Ski Bindings 2019

The classic Look Pivot 12 AW Ski Bindings are the go-to choice of committed skiers worldwide, and known for their reliability and consistency of release. Look's elasticity is the best in the business, the turntable heel offers bombproof lateral security, and the shortened mounting pattern lets the ski flex as freely as possible. The Pivot 12 is identical to the Pivot 14 except for spring weight, so if you don't need the extra DIN you'll get the same performance with a bit less weight by buying the Pivot 12.

Product Details

Toe Piece

Full Action Toe | 45 mm ElasticityFeaturing 45mm of elastic travel and 180⁰ multi-directional release, the Full Action toe piece delivers best-in-class retention and release and increased coupling strength (boot-to-binding interface) for maximum power transmission.

180˚ Multi-Directional ReleaseA true mechanical upward release that functions independently from the heel for the most effective multi-directional protection in the case of a fall.

Dual Standard ConceptLook strategically reinforced the toe housing, increased the toe ramp, elongated the toe-wings, and created a toe that is compatible with both ISO 5355 Alpine and GripWalk soles.

Heel Piece

Turntable HeelLook’s unique turntable design rotates directly under the tibia for reduced risk of injury and provides 28mm of elastic travel to deliver unmatched shock absorption for significant reduction of pre-release.

Long Elasticity28mm of elasticity in the heel (the most of any binding on the market) yields a reduction in unwanted pre-releasing.

Additional Features

Smaller Mounting ZoneThe shortest mounting zone of any alpine binding available provides less swing weight, improved response, and a deeper, rounder, more consistent ski flex.

7 Points of ContactMore points-of-contact with the boot results in increased lateral energy transmission, drives more power to the edge of the ski and provides superior control, response, and snow feel.

Ski Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
