Transition Regulator

The Transition Regulator is for riders who want a capable, playful all-mountain eMTB that feels as close to a motorless mountain bike as possible while still providing an electric assist. 

Built around a mixed-wheel chassis, the Regulator’s 150mm of rear travel and 160mm fork put it squarely in trail bike territory. It's designed for riders who pedal to the top and want a bike that rewards an active, dynamic riding style on the way down. The mixed-wheel setup gives it a nimble, flickable feel that reviewers consistently describe as closer to an analog bike than a typical eMTB. The Regulator comes in two versions — the full-power CX and the lighter SX — so it covers a wide range of rider priorities, from maximum power and range to featherweight feel. Both share the same frame geometry and suspension platform. The CX and SX share the same frame and ride character, but the motor and battery choice gives each bike a distinct personality on the trail. The Regulator CX runs Bosch's fifth-generation Performance Line CX motor with 85Nm of torque and a 600Wh battery. It's a full-power system that delivers confident, smooth assist on steep climbs and long days, and its extra range means you're less likely to be rationing power mid-ride. The CX also gets a geometry flip chip that lets you dial the head angle a half-degree slacker, and it comes spec'd with a burlier RockShox ZEB fork to match its added capability.  

The Regulator SX uses the lighter Bosch Performance Line SX motor — 55Nm of torque and a more compact 400Wh battery. The result is a bike that's roughly 6 pounds lighter than the CX and rides with noticeably more of an analog feel. It accelerates more freely, handles a little more like a trail bike without a motor, and is the better pick if you're doing shorter, punchier rides or just want to minimize the eMTB feel. Both models accept a 250Wh Bosch PowerMore range extender for bigger days. 

The Regulator CX is an everyday trail bike for medium rides and after-work expeditions, while the Repeater PT is Transition's dedicated enduro machine built for riders who want more travel and more gravity-focused capability. The Repeater PT runs 170mm of travel front and rear on full 29" wheels, with SRAM's Powertrain motor delivering 90Nm of torque through a 720Wh battery. It's heavier, slacker, and built to handle bigger, more consequential terrain. Enduro racing, backcountry missions, and the kind of rowdy descents where every extra millimeter of travel earns its place. The tradeoff is a bike that's noticeably more work to pedal and less nimble when the trail gets tight or technical in a playful way.  

The Regulator CX climbs more efficiently, weighs significantly less, and feels livelier and more maneuverable across a wider variety of trails. Its 150mm rear travel and mixed-wheel setup keep it composed on rough descents while staying fun and flickable everywhere else. If most of your riding involves pedaling to the top and you want a capable bike for aggressive all-mountain terrain, the Regulator CX is the better fit. If you're chasing bike park days or enduro-style descents above all else, the Repeater PT is the tool for that job.

It runs full 29" wheels and a slacker geometry tuned for high-speed stability on rowdy trails.  

The Regulator SX is a fundamentally different kind of ride. At roughly 41 pounds in its top build, it's one of the lightest full-suspension eMTBs on the market, and it's designed to feel as close to a regular mountain bike as possible. Where the Repeater PT demands big terrain to really come alive, the Regulator SX is at its best on everyday all-mountain riding. It's just as fun on mellow singletrack as it is on steeper stuff, and it rewards riders who like to move around on the bike and find creative lines. If the Repeater PT is a gravity sled with a motor, the Regulator SX is a trail bike that happens to have one.
