The 9 Best Wakeboards for 2022

By: Jack Mace: Watersports Buyer | May 4, 2022

How a wakeboard rides comes down to personal preference, where you’re at in your riding progression, and how YOU want your board to feel on the water. Whether you prioritize a fast on-water feel, massive vertical pop, a playful ride with softer flex, or an aggressive board that’s quick edge to edge - we’ve got something on this list for everyone. We’ve gone through everything offered this year and selected some of the best wakeboards of 2022. What qualifies a board for this list you ask? We look for wakeboards that offer something unique when compared to the rest of the lineup – oh, and it also has to be really fun for us to ride as well. While it’d be easy for us just to select our best sellers, that kinda feels like a cop-out and doesn’t always tell the full story. This list gives us the opportunity to dive into the different shapes and talk about what sets them apart from the others. This is important to us because when choosing a wakeboard one size never fits all.

New This Year:

2022 is finally here and with it comes a truckload of new wakeboards from top brands like Hyperlite, Ronix, Liquid Force, Connelly, and more! Let us tell you, it was worth the wait. With a continued push towards ultra-low swing weights, huge pop, and buttery smooth landings, the mixture of offerings still provide their own ride characteristics that allow for everyone to find their perfect fit. So without further ado, here is our breakdown of the best wakeboards of 2022.

Jack Mace

I grew up on the north end of Lake Washington and was surrounded by watersports enthusiasts who all had an immense passion for any activity done on the water. My dad has also worked in the boating industry my whole life, so those two factors were the main building blocks that shaped my love for the industry from a young age.

After attending Western Washington University, I moved back to the Seattle area and worked as a sailing instructor for a number of years at my cousin’s rental shop on Lake Union before joining the evo family in 2012.

At evo, I started out on the customer service team and worked my way onto the merchandising team which gave me the opportunity to integrate my passion and love for the water into a career as the Watersports Buyer. I still reside in the Seattle area with my wife Katie and two sons, Wes and Carter.
