2025 Rossignol Rallybird Soul 92 Skis Review

Review Summary

Avg. Tester Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.3/5)

Our testers had the pleasure of taking the 2025 Rossignol Rallybird Soul 92 skis for a spin at Loveland, CO, and the results are in: this ski is a versatile powerhouse. With ratings averaging at 4.3, our team found much to praise in these skis. Cassidy Lavender remarked on the ski's excellent maneuverability and mind-reading ability when initiating turns, thanks to the innovative Air Tip technology that maintains stability while adding a playful feel. Although she noted the 166 cm size felt slightly short for her preference, her overall experience was highly positive.

Erika Szekely was equally impressed, celebrating the ski as perfect for groomer days—fast, responsive, and stable. She felt that it would serve well for someone who enjoys groomed runs but also wants the option to handle fresh snow. Lastly, Leslie Sroczynski highlighted the ski's performance on groomed terrain, finding them remarkably fast and responsive, although a bit narrow for off-piste conditions.

Overall, the Rossignol Rallybird Soul 92 skis deliver an exceptional blend of speed, responsiveness, and lightness, making them a solid choice for advanced skiers who love carving up the mountain across a range of conditions.

Plenty capable and maneuverable with a drizzle of play!

"I am an advanced, all-mountain skier. I'm 5'9 and love going anywhere and everywhere on the mountain, so I really like a ski that I can feel confident on no matter the conditions. I am keen on hitting high speeds on the groomers, but also spend my fair share of time seeking out all kinds of terrain so I need a mid-stiff ski that I can still play around on. This ski is sooo easy to ride and basically reads your mind when it comes to turn initiation and overall maneuverability thanks to that Air Tip tech that adds some play while maintaining the stability of the ski. It's great on the steeps and I felt confident taking these down some moguls. It wasn't quite up to my standards for when I want to get super speedy, but that definitely comes down to your riding style. The 166 was just a bit short and didn't feel like quite enough ski for me, but all in all, I had a great time on these skis and would recommend it to any ladies looking for a capable all-mountain ski to feel confident on in almost any conditions."

Great ski for both intermediate and advanced skiers.

"I LOVE THIS SKI. Absolutely perfect for a groomer day. It's fast, responsive, and stable. It's pretty light but never felt like too little underneath me. Perfect for carving turns in the sun. While I wasn't able to test it out on other conditions I could see this being great for someone who primarily stays on groomers but wants a ski they can still take out with fresh snow on the ground."

Groovy Groomer Girls- Fun Ski!

"The Rossignol Rallybird Soul 92 are a groomer girl's dream! Remarkably fast, nimble, and responsive, they handled quick maneuvers with ease. While they are narrower than what I'm accustomed to these days, these babies proved that size isn't everything. Their sleek design and precise performance on groomed terrain left me thoroughly impressed. Although I was pleasantly surprised by their lightweight feel, these are going to be more of a groomer/on piste ski. I could see myself being frustrated with these skis on a powder day due to their more narrow build. If you're searching for a high-performing and fun ski for groomed runs, these are an excellent choice!"

Pros

  • Maneuverability: Testers highlighted the ski's ease of turning and responsiveness, with Air Tip technology providing a playful yet stable experience.

  • Versatility: Well-suited for groomed runs but also capable in fresh snow, these skis were praised for their adaptability to various conditions.

  • Lightweight Feel: Despite its responsiveness and stability, the ski maintains a lightweight feel that doesn't sacrifice performance, ideal for prolonged skiing sessions.

Cons

  • Speed Limitations: While versatile, the skis may not meet the needs of those looking to push high speeds, as noted by one tester.

  • Size Shortcomings: For taller or more aggressive skiers, the ski lengths available might feel slightly inadequate for optimal performance.

  • Narrow Design: The narrower build may limit off-piste capabilities, potentially frustrating skiers in powder conditions.

Who Is It For?

The 2025 Rossignol Rallybird Soul 92 skis are ideal for advanced skiers who spend most of their time on groomed runs but appreciate the ability to tackle fresh snow when it appears. This ski is perfect for those who value agility and lightness in their equipment, enabling easy maneuverability and responsive handling. Its mid-stiff build provides the right mix of performance and play, suitable for skiers who enjoy both speed on groomers and playful turns in varied terrain.

However, if you're a skier who prioritizes high-speed performance above all else or regularly ventures into deep powder, these skis might not meet all your needs. Their slightly narrower design and perceived limitations in size could detract from their appeal to skiers seeking a more specialized off-piste or big-mountain ski.
