Atomic Maven 94 CTI Skis

The Lowdown

The all-new Atomic Maven 94 CTI redefines what a lightweight, playful women's all-mountain ski can be. By replacing a lot of the titanal with carbon and incorporating poplar and ash wood core for a more sustainable build, Atomic brings us a ski that feels lively, lightweight yet still powerful, and easier to pivot through turns. Adding 5% more tail rocker and a subtly rockered tip improves float in soft snow, even with its relatively narrow waist, while enhancing maneuverability in tight terrain and mixed, off-piste conditions.

Designed with input from women’s focus groups (heck ya), the Maven 94 CTI balances a more aggressive sidecut for confident carving with a forgiving flex profile that helps you feel centered and balanced. This ski excels in powder, mixed conditions, and groomers, offering stability and edge hold when you need it. It invites boldness and creativity without being too demanding, ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers who tear it up inbounds but are also ready to explore beyond the resort boundaries. Bottom line: it’s an energetic, intuitive ski that delivers a strong on-piste performance while making off-piste play more accessible and more fun than ever!

Technical Details

The 2026 Atomic Maven 94 CTI brings a fresh take on women’s ski design, combining real-world feedback from female skiers with Atomic’s well-known all-mountain performance. At 94mm underfoot, it hits that sweet spot for versatility — wide enough to handle mixed snow and soft days, but still nimble and grippy on groomers. What’s new and exciting this year is the refined CTI Powered core, which blends carbon with just the right amount of titanal to give the ski a stable, damp feel without adding unnecessary weight. You get power and precision when you need it, but with a smooth, forgiving flex that feels intuitive and easy to control.

The ski also has a lightweight ash and poplar wood core to eliminate chatter, an early-rise rocker for easier turn initiation, and Atomic’s HRZN 3D tip that increases the surface area up front which is great for float and maneuverability in variable snow. Designed with input from women’s focus groups, the new Maven 94 CTI should absolutely be a top contender for intermediate to more advanced skiers who want confidence, versatility, and a ski that’s as fun in trees and bowls as it is on the front side.

Ride Impressions

I tested the 2026 Atomic Maven 94 CTI in a 165 cm length, and it took a little getting used to since I typically ski on twin tips with more rocker and closer to 172 cm length. I think I would still prefer the 172 cm at the end of the day, but the 165 cm length was still extremely stable and powerful through the turns. At first, it felt like a noticeable change, with less rocker and a bit shorter than what I’m used to. That just meant I had to adjust my stance and turn initiation a little bit. Once I got the feel for it, the 165 length held its own impressively. It never felt unstable or like I was going to go over the handlebars. In fact, the shorter length opened up some terrain that I tend to naturally avoid like tighter trees and all-out mogul runs. The ski's easy turn initiation and super lively feel made navigating typically more technical zones way more approachable, and honestly, a lot more fun.

Where the Maven 94 CTI really shines is in its versatility. Whether I was searching for snow in steeper expert terrain or dropping some hip on groomers, it felt intuitive and reliable everywhere I took it. I’ll say it again and again, but the most important qualities I look for in a ski is something that inspires confidence and pushes me to get better every season and something that I’ll never second guess when packing up for a trip. For example, I’m a huge fan of the K2 Reckoner series. Once spring conditions hit in Colorado, it’s what I gravitate toward almost every day, but that ski stays in the basement until I know exactly what conditions I’m getting into. The Maven CTI exceeded my expectations through all kinds of terrain all season long. The edge hold is truly exceptional. When I leaned in, the ski responded instantly and held strong, especially on firmer snow. While I don't spend a ton of time in the park, I still took a few park laps here and there to push the idea of versatility and they held up! Compared to the Maven 103 CTI I tried last season, the 94 felt noticeably easier to engage and more responsive overall. While the Maven 103 CTI is still a fabulous ski, I’d say the lighter weight and snappier sidecut of the 94 CTI gives it a real edge in terms of all-around playfulness and control if I were to compare the two - although it wouldn't exactly be apples to apples.

This ski is perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who want to build confidence in mixed terrain while still being able to push the pace on-piste. If you're deciding between lengths, go shorter if you want something nimble and confidence-boosting in tight spots, but don't be afraid to size up if you're used to a longer ride and prefer a bit more stability at speed.

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

Pros

Versatility Across Terrain
Performs well in varied conditions: groomers, moguls, trees, and steep & deep making it a true all-mountain ski.

Confidence-Inspiring and Playful
Easy turn initiation, great edge hold, and a lively feel help intermediate to advanced skiers feel more in control and push their limits.

Lightweight Yet Stable Construction
The CTI core (carbon + titanal), poplar/ash wood, and HRZN 3D tip balance power with lightness and dampness, offering both maneuverability and precision.

Cons

Adjustment Period For Some Skiers
Skiers used to twin tips or more rocker (like me) may need time to adapt to a different feel

Shorter Length Might Lack Speed Stability
While nimble, the 165 cm length may not offer the same high-speed stability as a longer version for those used to longer skis.

Traditional Shape With Less Tail Rocker
Compared to more playful skis, it may feel slightly less surfy or loose in deep snow or freestyle situations.

Who Are They For?

The ideal rider for the Atomic Maven 94 CTI is an intermediate to more advanced skier who values versatility and wants one ski that can confidently handle everything from groomers to trees and occasional powder. This skier appreciates responsive edge hold and intuitive turn initiation, especially on firmer snow, but also wants a ski that feels light and playful in tighter, technical terrain. They're likely someone who enjoys exploring the entire mountain, skis at different resorts, and wants a ski that can build confidence while encouraging progression. While not necessarily a park or freestyle skier, they enjoy a dynamic, energetic ski that performs no matter the conditions. If that sounds like you, and you’re an intermediate skier with progression goals I would definitely recommend the Atomic Maven 94 CTI.

The Bottom Line

The 2026 Atomic Maven 94 CTI stands out as a highly versatile, confidence-inspiring all-mountain ski designed with relevant input from female skiers to help dial in this all-new construction. It combines a lightweight yet stable construction, thanks to a carbon and titanal core, with a lively, intuitive feel that excels in both groomed and off-piste terrain. With exceptional edge hold, smooth turn initiation, and a forgiving flex profile, it’s ideal for intermediate to advanced riders looking to explore the mountain with ease and control.

Unlike more condition-specific skis, the Maven 94 CTI delivers consistent performance across varied terrain, making it a reliable choice for skiers who want one ski to handle it all. Whether navigating tight trees, ripping groomers, or dipping into powder, this ski feels stable, playful, and easy to trust. For skiers who want a single-quiver solution that supports progression without being overly demanding, the Maven 94 CTI offers an ideal balance of power, agility, and all-mountain fun.
