I'm a big fan of the Armada Zero series, which has brought some of my favorite "alternative" skis like the Whitewalker and Stranger. For 2026, the new ARV 106 Ti is really more of an every-day ski but one I have been equally excited about. They took the fun and nimble shape of the ARV 106 with its mix of rocker and tapered tips and tails and combined it with the profiled metal layer of the Declivity X series to create a true all-mountain weapon that can ski fast and blast crud with the best of them yet be playful and agile for quick turns and smears when you want to slow down and have fun. This is a pretty unique ski with the guts of a more traditional all-mountain/big-mountain ripper but the shape and feel of a more freestyle-focused all-mountain twin tip. Sign me up!
Shop Armada ARV 106 Ti SkisThe key feature of this ski is taking the ATBX layer of the Declivity X and adding it to the ARV 106 mold. That Declivity X is already a fantastic skiing ski with just the right amount of titanal where you need it without creating and overly burly ski that only wants to make one kind of turn. I've become a fan of this type of metal more recently and appreciate seeing it in more freestyle-shaped skis. The ARV 106 was already a great single-quiver ski that is at home in pow or the park but now its got that added juice to charge more aggressively.
The ARV 106 Ti still boasts all the newer features of the recently redesigned ARV series including W3DGEWALL side walls that are the first of their kind to be shaped and interlaced with the core for maximum durability. That combined with 2.5mm edges and their S7 base means these skis aren't afraid to spend the day in the park on rails, boxes, and other foreign objects.

With the ARV 106 Ti, I knew what to expect right away and delivered on just that. Some may recall the limited edition Armada x evo ARV 106 Ti from a few years ago. That thing was stiff with 2 full tip to tail sheets of titanal. The new ski from Armada is much different. If you'd read any of my reviews before, you know I'm not a huge fan of full metal as I tend to like something more playful, and I am starting to come around to some of these new lighter profiled metal layers that are going into skis. This ARV 106 Ti is very predictable and stable, while still providing the ability to change of turns and skiing style.
I find the regular ARV 106 to be a very fun ski, but its not something I want to charge fast or take to really gnarly terrain. The combination of a softer flex with its rocker and tapered shape makes it pretty loose, which proves good or bad depending on what you want to do with it. Although the ARV 106 Ti isn't something you're going to butter around on (at least I can't on it), its still got a generally playful feel with full ability to take it sideways and pop off the tails. And with the added stability, its much more comfortable on the rest of the mountain at any speed. It has quickly become the one ski I will grab if I'm unsure of the conditions. If there's still fresh snow, I'll be covered. If I might be skiing some big open runs at mach speed, its there. If I'm messing around on smaller runs, it skis like a park ski.
A true all-terrain vehicle
Predictable at all speeds
Anyone can feel at home on this ski
Heavier and stiffer than what you are used to with ARV
Still not as damp and smooth as a true metal, full side cut ski
Its in the Zero series, so get it before it sells out!
This ski speaks to me as a middle-aged dad that still wants to bust 180s off side hits but also appreciates some high speed carves, and of course hitting side stashes wherever they are. It's the rad dad single-quiver ski, meaning it has some cool factor but strong non-race background skiers like me will not be disappointed. A mid-fat width, predictable 20m radius, slight tip/tail taper, rocker/camber/rocker, and tailored metal laminate all make this a true single-quiver ski that isn't too far in any direction.
The ARV 106 Ti is going to be a favorite of many. It's the ski I wanted Armada to make — as if the ARV and Declivity had a beautiful baby. This ski rips but doesn't lock you into one kind of skiing. Ski pow, ski groomers, ski whatever is left over out there and you are going to have fun. As someone who has a large quiver of skis, this is my single-quiver ski when I need to lean on that.
