Devinci Troy S Complete Mountain Bike 2016
Whenever you saddle up the newly-redesigned Devinci Troy S Complete Mountain Bike, you empower yourself to take on pretty much anything that mountainous terrain might throw at you. A true all-mountain stallion, the Troy's lifetime warrantied Aluminum Optimum G04 frame and Split Pivot suspension system make it a worthy contender to beat your buddies on the ups as well as the down. A shortened 424mm chainstay provides more direct power on technical climbs while also allowing for tighter and more precise handling on high-speed descents. Respectably spec'd with Shimano components and generous travel RockShox suspension, the Devinci Troy S Complete Mountain Bike is an attractively priced singletrack tycoon that can easily hang with the double-crown big boys on the occasional downhill days.
Tapered Head Tube: Precise control and the best strength-to-weight ratio in the business.
Lower Stand-Over Height: Delivering prime stand-over fit, and a super-low center of gravity for enhanced handling.
Aluminum Optimum G04 140mm: Devinci's mountain bike program is a product of its unparalleled R&D experience. Top-of-the-line tube technology is adapted to Devinci's high-end mountain bikes, all offering the ultimate in acceleration, power transfer, control and stability. Lightweight G04 tubing is born of a tech blend of 6066-T6 aluminum combined with state of the art triple butting, high pressure hydro-forming and tapered CNC-machined headtubes. Frames built from Optimum G04 tubesets offer superior durability, incredible stiffness, and a knockout strength-to-weight ratio exclusive to Devinci bikes. Devinci's high welding and heat treatment quality standards, along with the knowledge gained from partnerships with the world-class industry research centres and aluminum producers, results in incredibly durable bikes. In fact, with more than 20 years on the aluminum frontlines, Devinci backs these frames with a full lifetime warranty.
Ultra-Short Chainstays: Pin-it acceleration, combined with superior driver's seat handling.
Split Pivot Suspension: Devinci Cycles was the first bike manufacturer to adopt Dave Weagle’s patented Split Pivot technology. Today it represents the core of Devinci’s full-suspension line-up. The genius of the Split Pivot suspension system is that it works in conjunction with you—the rider—for intuitive performance and a fully customizable feel. It harmonizes and maximizes bump compliance, traction, and efficiency—factors that are normally at odds with each other. The result is a buttery smooth ride with hyperactive small bump compliance and podium-crushing pedal stroke efficiency. The system is called Split Pivot because of its concentric rear dropout pivot built in line with the rear wheel axle, but there’s more to it than that.
Axis & FRG Adjustable: Perfect balance, minimum unsprung mass, and prime hi/lo geometry adjustment for perfect settings.
BOOST 148 Standard: Stiffer rear wheel.
Internal Cable Routing: Provides protection from the elements and deluxe, aerodynamic styling.
Asymmetrical Construction: Milking the most performance out of every frame angle, improved torsional stiffness.
27.5 Dedicated: 2.35'' maximum tire clearance.
Custom Tuned Rear Shock
Increased Bottom Out Force: Increased progressivity for improved bottoming out forces.
Enduro Bearings
RockShox Monarch RT: Featuring silky smooth travel in a new lightweight design, Monarch floats through bumps even better than before, turning rugged trails into tire-gripping velvet. The chassis is lean while maintaining the durability and adjustability needed to bite off huge chunks of burly trail action and epic cross country.
Adjustments: External Rebound, 2 Position Compression (Open, Pedal)
Sag Gradients™: Don't set your sag correctly, and you might as well be hopping onto someone else's bike. But why bust out plastic clips or rulers to keep your suspension fine-tuned? RockShox's sag gradients are printed right on their fork's upper tubes and shock damper bodies making perfect suspension setup easy and accurate. So you can give Mom back her plastic clip and ruler.
Solo Air™: Solo Air is like a Buddhist monk. Its enlightened design lets you add air to your shock through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously -- so they're always in perfect equilibrium, like Yin and Yang.
Air Guides™: RockShox prints Air Guides on all of their air-sprung forks. Maybe not a technological feat, but it will help you set up your suspension in seconds instead of minutes. More time on your bike equals more chances to earn King of the Mountain on your favorite trail -- maybe they are a technological feat after all.
Motion Control™: Imagine riding on the moon. Rolling hills, crushed rock blasted out of craters… craters. There’s no gravity so you wouldn’t even need a chairlift. Unfortunately you can’t ride on the moon. There’s lots of gnarly terrain on earth. But, earth has gravity so you’ll need suspension that climbs as well as it descends. With RockShox's Motion Control damper technology you’ll do just that. You can’t ride on the moon, but with Motion Control you can make gravity your bitch.
OneLoc: The new OneLoc remote provides total control over your suspension at your fingertips. The increased leverage at the bar, translate in a smoother and easier actuation. Its countless mounting options (left and right, below or above the bar, tall or standard clamp) make it an ideal companion for SRAM's drivetrain, brakes and RockShox's Reverb remote.
Power Bulge™: When you need your forearms to be stronger for more control, you bulk them up in the gym. When you need more durability from your fork, bulk them up with Power Bulge. Other companies just increase the stanchion size adding extra weight. Power Bulge simply reinforces the lower leg to allow for an oversized bushing, increasing stiffness and maximizing your ride. Plus, it’s called Power Bulge.
Solo Air™: Solo Air is like a Buddhist monk. Its enlightened design lets you add air to your fork through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously -- so they're always in perfect equilibrium, like Yin and Yang.
Shimano M396 Brakes: 2-piston design absorbs vibrations | 2-finger brake lever for enhanced control | Resin pads reduce noise & heat | Non-caustic mineral system for easy maintenance | Adjustable reach for custom fit
Wheelset:
Maxxis Ardent Tires: An aggressive tread in high-volume casing, designed with great traction in mind. The Ardent doesn't forget the racer with large block-style side knobs offering numerous edges for high-speed cornering. The center tread, while ideal for braking and accelerating traction, also features ramped knobs to minimize rolling resistance.
