Blizzard Zero G 108 Skis 2016

Although considered the "powder" ski in Blizzard's new Zero G series, the Blizzard Zero G 108 Skis also charge the fall line with a level of precision and power you won't expect from a ski this light. Confidence-inspiring edgehold is the name of the game with any of the Zero G skis, and the 108 is no exception - it just happens to have plenty of surface area for those 2-foot-deep days as well. If your winter touring happens to include some icy pitches (or months) and the idea of having dependable grip in sketchy circumstances seems appealing, check out the Zero G 108 and prepare to be amazed.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Rocker Camber Rocker: Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow. Rocker Camber Rocker
Flex:
Medium Stiff Flex
Shape:
Tapered Tip & Tail
Core:
Ultralight Paulownia Woodcore
FlipCore Technology: While most ski companies start with a cambered core and bend it under heat and pressure in the mold to create rockered skis, Blizzard starts with a rockered, "flipped over" core that matches the ski's rocker profile in the first place. Make sense? It does to us. FlipCore Technology
Laminates:
Carbon Drive: Carbon Drive is the integration of a 3D unidirectional carbon fiber frame with an ultra-lightweight paulownia woodcore construction. The carbon frame’s 3D geometry guarantees optimal flex and torsional rigidity. The end result is industry leading lightweight products that deliver a level of downhill performance that is unprecedented in the world of alpine touring and backcountry skiing. Carbon Drive
Superlight Fiberglass Next to Ski Base
Two Layers of Light Directional Fiberglass
Titanal Binding Interface
Sidewalls:
Sandwich Compound Sidewall: All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.
Edges:
Edge Bevels: This ski is super grippy with the factory 1˚ base / 2˚ side edge bevels. Some testers have reported a more versatile set of characteristics with increased base edge bevels of 2˚ or more at the tip and tail and decreased side edge bevels of around 1˚. Your mileage may vary.
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
