GORE-TEX: Guaranteed to Keep You Dry. The GORE-TEX membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). It has over 9 billion pores per square inch, large enough to let water vapor exit but small enough to prevent liquid water from entering.
Lining Material:
Gore® C-Knit™ Backer Technology: Gore combines the smooth texture of robust nylon outer fabrics with the reliable, proven, and highly stable GORE-TEX® membrane made of PU-coated ePTFE and the new, patent pending Gore® C-KNIT™ Technology. This combination of materials makes the new 3-layer fabrics lighter, softer and even more breathable, while being as robust as comparable previous generation laminates. Elasticized strap at low back connects to any Patagonia® Snow pants and select Alpine pants to prevent jacket from riding up.
