Like its younger sibling the Aviator, the Jones Ultra Aviator Snowboard mitigates the power and snap of its full camber profile by beveling the tip and tail slightly - you get the best of both worlds. In the Ultra Aviator, Jones goes a step further by adding (or maybe it should be subtracting) Ultra Construction and eliminating the wood core from the tip entirely. Rocker Type:

3D Power Camber: A positive camber profile that offers the edge response of camber without the usual hangups. The base is beveled up from contact points to the ends of the board, releasing the edges where they tend to hook and creating a looser feel.

Flex:

Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff): A stiff flex for handling massive lines in the backcountry. Great response in deep snow and solid enough for dropping big cliffs while having support on the landing.

Shape:

Twin Directional: Symmetrical tip and tail dimensions with a 20 mm setback for the best balanced freestyle performance in the land

Blunt Nose: "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn, or any snow condition more then an inch deep is dictated by its front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow, watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose, you get the float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight." - Jeremy Jones

Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually decreasing the side cut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Core:

Ultra Core 2.0: Triple density hardwood cores carefully chosen for lightness and response. Hardwood stringers are positioned at the edges for durability.

Air Lightness Technology: Air Lightness technology drastically reduces spin weight by completely eliminating the wood core in the nose of the board.

Laminates:

TeXtreme Carbon: Specially designed carbon fiber that is podium proven in the America's Cup and Tour de France. TeXtreme achieves a weight savings of about 20-30% compared to conventional carbon fiber.

Sidewalls:

Recycled ABS Sidewalls: Jones is in it for the long haul, and with sustainability in mind they use only recycled plastic for their sidewalls.

Base:

Sintered Ultra Base: Proven race base of UHMW Polyethylene with special Fluoro and Parafin additives. The hardest and fastest base out there.

Belt Ground Finish: Smooth a flat right from the factory.

Die-Cut Base: Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Edges:

Mellow Magne-Traction™: A tiny wave in the edge under your feet results in a catch-free ride with bomber edgehold on any snow surface. "Magne-Traction™ is a key ingredient for rockered board designs. Adding rocker to your board makes it glide more smoothly, but it makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Magne-Traction™ is crucial to offset the drift typical of rocker flex patterns." - Jeremy Jones.

Oversized Recycled Edges: Recycled, thicker steel reinforces the snowboard's edges to give you exceptional impact resistance and improved production sustainability.

Film Topsheet: New film topsheet adds to consistent response and drops weight at the same time.
