The Arc'teryx Arrakis 40 Backpack packs a huge punch. Made from 420D ACT Fabric™, it's extremely water and abrasion resistant, making it an excellent companion for backcountry ski excursions. Shoulder straps with Spacermesh™ lining provide excellent airflow where you need it, and an HD 80 foam backpanel gives you all the comfort you can stand. On top of Arc'teryx's typical high-quality construction, the Arrakis 40 features WaterTight™ external zippers, full seam sealing and an Extendable RollTop™ closure to give it an extra water resistant boost, and its Gridlock™ system means you can adjust it perfectly to you body. Body: 420D ACT Fabric™ gives high tenacity nylon durability, coated on both sides to create an air-impermeable, waterproof textile. White pigmented inner surface reflects light to reveal contents of bag.
Stays: 6005-T6 extruded aluminum M-bar stays are rigid and lightweight to provide structural support.
Back Panel: HD 80 foam is high density polyethylene foam that provides support and structure to the bag, plus comfort against the back.
Shoulder Straps: 420D ACT Fabric™. Hypercell foam has the benefit of being open cell polyurethane foam that provides stability and comfort. Spacermesh™ lining provides airflow. Hydrophobic polyester yarn repels water.
