The Asym Snowboard. The 2013 Greats theme is over and Yes. is letting the Transworld Good Wood winning shape speak for itself with a few tweaks in the design and a simple graphic that doesn't distract from the beauty of the board itself. The Asym features a deeper heel edge than the toe, while balancing out the natural inefficiencies of how we turn resulting in a ride that is more balanced than we are. The new Asym is updated with parabolic Beechwood rails on a lightweight poplar core which gives the board incredible response and snap. Balance, control, pop, and edgehold, the Yes. Rocker Type:

Camber + Rocker Twin: 4 mm rocker in the nose, 4 mm camber between your feet, 4 mm camber in the tail. Slight camber between binding areas with variable degree of rocker outside your stance. Gives response and pop between feet, with a looser feel towards the tips. Increase flotation on twins and initiates your turns. Camber + Rocker Twin

Shape:

Asym Twin: Back in the day, asymmetrical boards meant you had to choose between a regular or goofy-stance board. Not only was that a nightmare for retailers, it didn't suit anyone with a duck stance. The Asym Twin applies a tighter, deeper heelside radial sidecut compared to the toe. In effect, balancing out the body's natural tendency to over-turn the toe edge. Regular or goofy, it's still a true twin. Just flip it around.

Core:

Core 5: Poplar core with pre-bent, parabolic birch rails.

Laminates:

Triax: Triax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in three directions. Meaning it gives the snowboard an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. For you, this delivers a snowboard that has tons of pitch when jumping.

Biax: Biax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in two directions. The fibers are braided vertically at 90 degrees. This ensures a torsional flex that is more evenly distributed throughout the snowboard. For you, this translates to a snowboard that is easy to handle and jib friendly.
