Salomon Q-90 Skis 2014

The Salomon Q-90 Skis are your everyday, all-mountain skis with a lightweight wood core, tip rocker, and forgiving early rise tail. Utility Rocker provides excellent flotation in powder yet very stable and consistent in harder snow conditions. Semi-Sandwich construction with wider reinforced edges offers increased stability underfoot, durability and improved shock resistance and edge grip. Explore new, more challenging terrain with ease on the Salomon Q-90 Skis. Getting back to the lift should be fun, not frightening.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Utility Rocker: Salomon's most versatile rocker profile, excelling in all conditions and terrains, Utility Rocker offers optimal floatation, fluid terrain absorption and directional stability.
Gentle Rise Tail: A shorter, shallower rise to the tail rocker that increases edge contact and stability.
Carve Zone: The traditionally cambered section of twin rocker skis, where the sidecut is focused for more power, energy and edge grip.
Sidecut:
Hook Free Taper: Allowing for easier turn initiation in soft and variable snow, this tip and tail shape slices through difficult snow without hanging up.
Core:
Full Wood Core: A wood core that runs from tip to tail offers optimum stability and powerful rebound, with maximum ski/snow contact and reduced vibration
Sidewalls:
Semi-Sandwich: Edge to edge construction allows liveliness with increased stability underfoot.
Edges:
Total Edge Reinforcement: A fiber reinforcement is laid directly on the edges, improving edge stiffness, durability and grip.
Wider Edges: Thicker edges for increased durability and improved shock resistance
Additional Features:
Pulse Pad: This is an elastomer layer all along the edge and/or along the whole front part of the ski that provides shock absorption and anti-vibration on harder snow.
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
