Blizzard Cochise Skis 2013

This is the ski that comes out on top of more "best one ski quiver" lists than you can count. The Blizzard Cochise Skis turned the ski industry well, upside down last year by introducing the revolutionary Flipcore 3D concept - rather than take a cambered core and bend it in the mold to create a rockered ski, they flipped the core over and went from there. The Cochise is a charger's ski for climates where you're as likely to find sheet ice as powder, or for big vertical descents where you are sure to encounter the full spectrum of conditions in one run. Two layers of Titanal in the build and a stiff overall flex mean this board is comfortable at any speed you are. Let 'em run.

Rocker Type:
Tip and tail rocker with a flat section underfoot lets you turn this ski with a bit less than Herculean effort at slower speeds
Core:
Flipcore 3D Technology: Unlike most other companies, who start with a cambered core and "bend" it in the mold to create a rockered ski, Blizzard starts with a rockered core and components in the first place - everything goes into the press in the same shape as it comes out. Sound like marketing BS? Sure, except for the fact the the Flipcore skis have received almost universal praise from experts in their short time on the market. Maybe Blizzard is onto something here . . .
