Hyperlite Coex Wakesurf Board 2012: Brian Grubb, JD Webb, and Jimmy LaRiche designed a short board with wakeskate maneuverability, and that board is the Hyperlite Coex Wakesurf Board. Whether a rider is coming out of a bottom turn or snapping off the wake for a front side air, the Coex is built for performance.

Construction and Materials:
Monocoque Construction: By fusing the bottom and top layers together, this construction technique produces a more resilient board.
Layered Glass: Over time woven glass fibers will separate; a deck with layered glass will have the same snap after 5 seasons as it did the first time you took it out.
Shape:
Rolled edge starts softer and thicker at the tip giving the rider more of a surfy feel, then rolls to a sharper traditional wake rail toward the tail edge for added response.
Single concave for more board control

Even with its small stature the Coex can still be surfed by bigger riders because it sits higher in the water than most other decks.
