CAPiTA Mid Life Crisis Snowboard 2006

A mid-wide version of its Indoor and Outdoor counterparts, the Mid Life Crisis series provides a true twin freestyle experience with an overall wider frame, slightly deeper sidecut, more pronounced shoulders, and distinctive tip and tail shapes. TJ Schneider loves these boards, and to keep him happy we added a little texture to the topsheets and some Carbon fiber reinforcements from binding to binding to help lock those nose and tail handrail tricks.

Sidewall Construction- The bombproof engineering of CAPiTA Sidewall boards guarantee power and stability through each turn while dominating every modern riding environment. Wood cores are "sandwiched" on the top and bottom by fiberglass, while ABS rails are placed at the sides. This configuration provides a smooth response, increased dampening, and a solid, confident feel while ripping down the mountain.
SS Core- Built for a consistent feel, the SS core provides a stable, damp ride without sacrificing the energy and POP of a CAPiTA. Vertically laminated poplar is lightweight and has a long grain orientation with few irregularities allowing for consistent flex throughout the deck.
RADIAL Sidecut- Radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.
Sintered Base- These bases are created by taking pellets of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene and compressing them though heat and pressure making sintered bases harder. The miniscule spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended periods of high speed shredding as the wax wicks to the surface while you ride.
