Flex Rating and Fit:
Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)The new air upper articulating cuff allows the upper and lower zones of the boot to flex independently creating a fluid forward motion, minimizing shell distortion, and maximizing heel hold and response. All the while the air on the medial and lateral sides of the cuff eliminates hiback pinch when tweaking, especially when riding winged hibacks, and also aids in weight reduction. More comfort, less fatigue, more time on-hill.
Construction:
Shrinkage footprint reduction technology reduces the boot’s overall footprint one full size, meaning a men’s size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker – never suffer from toe drag again. The revolutionary Holy Shit outsole combines support, response, and canted ergonomics in amazing ways. A primary midsole promotes toe-to-heel response, support, and cushioning. Beneath that, a secondary dual-density EVA midsole uses denser EVA laterally for support, and a softer more cushioned EVA medially to allow your foot to roll naturally, reducing stress on your joints and ligaments.
Liner and Lacing:
Traditional lacing meets up with the Imprint™ 4 Liner with the new DRYRIDE Moisture Wicking Tech insulates and regulates warmth by pulling moisture away from your skin, then evaporating it through a waterproof/breathable shell membrane. Like a one-way door, the microscopic pores in this membrane allow moisture vapors to escape, while water droplets from the outside can’t enter.
