CAPiTA Stairmaster Snowboard 2006

The Stairmaster originated as a board discounted out of the box that's smaller, wider, softer, and designed for maneuverability around the park. The 148 was so successful that CAPiTA developed it into its own series of four sizes for 2005 with an upgraded topsheet, and graphics by Corey Smith. SS Core - Built for a consistent feel, the SS core provides a stable, damp ride without sacrificing the energy and pop of a CAPiTA. Vertically laminated poplar is lightweight and has a long grain orientation with few irregularities allowing for consistent flex throughout the deck
Features - Even flex, 4x2 inserts, true twin freestyle, screened base graphics, full wrap around steel edges, perimeter weighted wet hand fiberglass lamination, radial sidecut
Form 6 fiberglass configuration - The Form 6 glass configuration consists of biaxial fiberglass placed on both the base and top side of the construction at 0 and 90 degree angles. This configuration results in a board that initiates turns easily, while retaining the pop necessary for any freestyle environment. The Form 6 glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process
Sidewall Construction - Woodcores are "sandwiched" on the top and bottom by fiberglass, while ABS rails are placed at the sides. This configuration provides a smooth response, increased damping, and a solid, confident feel while ripping down the mountain
Extruded base - Extruded base material is softer than sintered bases due to its lower molecular weight. This type of base is the easiest to maintain and excels in park attacks and urban jibbing. It repairs easily and when waxed, extruded base material will provide excellent performance
