The Fox Shox 36 Float SL Factory GRIP X Fork puts the 36 chassis on a diet without sacrificing the ride quality that made it a trail staple. Coming in under 1800g, it's built for riders who want big-bike confidence in 130 - 140mm of travel without lugging around the extra weight. The updated GRIP X damper punches above its weight, the Glidecore air spring smooths out bump sensitivity, and the generatively designed arch adds 20% more torsional stiffness over the 34. Fast, plush, and lighter than it has any right to be.

Construction & Measurements:
Kashima Coated Stanchions: The smoothest of the smooth, plus it looks cooler. The gold Kashima coating has become synonymous with friction-free suspension actuation, and it's only available on Fox Factory components.
Inboard Bypass Channels: Bypass channels help curb pressure ramping for increased small bump sensitivity, as well as recirculating bath oil to lubricate bushings and seals. By relocating the bypass channels from the aft side of the fork to the inboard side, they are now out of the fore-aft load path to further reduce dynamic friction throughout the fork’s travel.
Increased Bushing Overlap: The 36 SL increases the bushing overlap by 20mm over the 34 for a smoother feeling fork overall. Riders will notice additional suppleness at higher speeds when bending loads on the fork are at their greatest.
Redesigned Arch & Crown: Generatively designed and optimized by FOX engineers, the new 36 SL arch and crown increase torsional stiffness of the fork by a full 20% over the previous Trail fork, the 34. Cutouts and lightening bores at strategic locations help minimize weight.

Kabolt SL Axle: The Kabolt SL axle drops an additional 12g over the standard Kabolt by eliminating the axle nut and decreasing flange diameter.
Low Profile Bleeders: Grooved design allows pressure to escape around your finger as you press the bleeder.
Air Spring Top Cap: Uses the common Shimano cassette tool for easy volume adjustments.
