Rocker Type:

PurePop Camber: An evolution of a traditional camber shape, PurePop Camber profile features subtle flat zones just outside your feet to amplify pop and add playfulness to the snap and response of camber. Early rise tip and tail sections spin and float with a catch-free feel.

Core:

Dragonfly™ 500G Core: Better edge-hold, responsiveness, and strength. EGD is an acronym that stands for “engineered grain direction”. It refers to the perpendicular orientation of the snowboard core’s wood in four locations adjacent to The Channel, near the heel and toe edges. By orienting the wood grain to be parallel with the rider’s feet, there is a better transfer of power from rider down through the snowboard to the board’s edges for ultimate strength and control. Additionally, Burton adds carbon fiber stringers into the core to help the layers below and above the core fully transfer power and strength throughout the snowboard.

Laminates:

Mystery Glass: All snowboards have fiberglass, but only Mystery boards have Mystery Glass. This construction features a custom blend of fiberglass and carbon fiber specifically designed to optimize strength-to-weight and allows us to manipulate both flex and feel.

Base:

Methlon Base: A Methlon base is the fastest, lowest-maintenance base material that Burton offers. It is constructed from a high molecular-weight P-Tex that is harder, faster, and stronger than conventional P-Tex.

Topsheet:

Unonventional Topsheet: Shaves off any unnecessary weight.

Additional Features:

Super Sap® Epoxy: A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
