Burton Ion Boa Snowboard Boots 2027

The Burton Ion Boa Snowboard Boots have been a rider favorite for years, and it's not hard to see why. One of Burton's stiffest offerings, they're built for the kind of rider who laps hard and needs a boot that keeps up without softening out by mid-season. The Dual Zone High Power Focus Boa® cinches your foot down with dialed precision, while the Autocant Outsole keeps up with you, absorbing hard landings when you're pushing into technical terrain. If you're ready to commit to a stiffer ride, the Ion delivers.

Flex:
Flex Rating: 6 - 9 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Fit:
1:1 Firm Flex PowerUP Tongue: Burton offers 1:1 lasting on every boot. It means every half and full size shell, tongue, and out sole offer a precise fit that is not as common as one would think. Drop your loot on a Burton boot and you won't be stuck with the slop of a mismatched shell and liner. PowerUP tongues feature additional dual-density material for rebound and durability.
Tuff Cuff Lite: Holds your heel and stabilizes your ankle at the same time by wrapping the ankle for the most responsive medial and lateral support with a taller inner cuff for even more support without limiting toe-to-heel flexibility.
Liner:
Life Liner: The Life Liner fuses lightweight materials with a more relaxed feel for high-end performance that makes all the difference during long seasons filled with hard charging days. The responsive PU tongue construction provides a combo of cat-like quickness and long-term resistance to breakdown, while also accommodating a better fit for all foot shapes.
DryRide Heat Cycle™ Lining: Warmth and wicking are two key traits for on-snow comfort. Burton's breathable inner-lining technology utilizes interwoven thermally activated carbon thread to capture, radiate, and reflect body heat inward to keep feet warmer while also wicking heat-robbing moisture outward. Look for varying amounts and performance level of each liner.
Hook and Loop Closure: Customize the fit around the calf or ankle, ensuring the liner is locked securely into place before tightening the outer boot shell.
Lacing System:
Dual Zone High Power Focus Boa®: In addition to speed, fit, and a durability that you expect from Boa®, this system's top attribute is better fit in the sweet spot (mid-foot) area of the shell. This is achieved through the Focus Boa® configuration that improves positioning around the midfoot, which is enhanced by the H4 dial that allows for micro adjustability precision fit engineered to perform in the toughest conditions.
TX3 Lacing: The best of both worlds. TX3 is a flexible and low-friction textile lace used in high-power boots to provide a soft, modern design aesthetic with lasting durability and strength.
Footbed:
Level 1 Molded EVA Footbed: An extremely lightweight and highly shock-absorbent footbed.
Sole:
EST® Optimized Midsole: EST® goes beyond bindings by drawing inspiration from the surf/skate heritage of snowboarding and giving you a more direct connection to your board. By eliminating the ramp angle of your outsole, EST lowers your center of gravity, improves board feel, and creates a more surf/skate-like feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening ReBounce and B3 Gel inserts.
Autocant Outsole: This outsole features a platform with dual-density materials for natural motion when absorbing landings and a softer medial side that allows for natural inward give when compressed.
ReBounce: Brings cushioning closer to your foot.
