Line Sakana Skis 2027

The Line Sakana Skis turn more than heads — they have an ideal lightweight freestyle layup for playfully ambitious riders who excel when style enhances their confidence. Light enough to fly, the Sakana features a directional flex, classic swallowtail design, carbon flax tape layup, and wood core. The Sakana hits it off big in the park, and then slashes all the way home down your favorite skied out groomers. If you're in between sizes, we recommend choosing the shorter pair. In this case, slightly shorter is more fun!

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Early Rise™: Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski's lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack. Early Rise™
Rocker Profile: 10mm Tip / 4mm Camber / 0mm Tail @ 174cm
Flex:
Directional Flex: The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.
Sidecut:
5-Cut™ Geometry: Five different radiuses are blended into the ski's sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes and an intuitive feel. 5-Cut™ Geometry
Shape:
Swallowtail: A dramatic tail knockout de-couples the farthest reaches of the effective edge while simultaneously forcing the tail of the ski down in soft snow. The result is a ski that can be ridden at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance. Swallowtail
Core:
Maple and Paulownia Wood Core
Laminates:
Carbon Flax Tape: Carbon Stringers offset by Flax Taping create added stiffness without the pingy, deflective properties of Carbon. Carbon Flax Tape
Sidewalls:
Sidewall Construction: Ultra-high density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges to absorb vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission. Sidewall Construction
Base:
Sintered 1.3 mm Base: Sintered bases reduce friction against the snow allowing for more speed, and more durability due to the high-density material they're crafted from.
Edges:
2.1mm x 2mm
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
