Scott Genius 900 Tuned AXS Complete Mountain Bike 2022

Any trail, any time. The Scott Genius 900 Tuned AXS Complete Mountain Bike is down (and up) for absolutely whatever. On top of that motivated attitude, it has Scott's on-the-fly TwinLoc geo/suspension adjust system, a sick integrated one-piece cockpit, wireless electronic shifting, and the best suspension parts on the market. When all is said and done, this is a true do-it-all bike that'll roast any trail at the drop of a hat. unbelievably light and fast for its capabilities, this high level Genius is a superbike with very few drawbacks.

Product Details

Frame/Shock:
Genius Carbon Main Frame with Carbon Swingarm
Evo-Lap Carbon Technology: Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, Scott optimized the carbon layers in all the parts of the frame. When the parts were bonded together in the first prototypes, the result was a super light and compact frame without sacrificing the stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. This allows them to make the most efficient layup possible.
TwinLoc Suspension System: With TwinLoc, a rider can effectively control the complete frame, fork, and shock as a system. Why does this matter? A bike with 150mm of suspension travel, correctly set up, has more sag than a bike with 130mm. It's that extra travel that makes it more fun to ride and more capable on the descents, but the greater sag has an oversized effect on the bike's geometry and climbing performance. That's where TwinLoc matters. Via a handlebar remote, you can choose from three bikes in one!
Fox NUDE TR EVOL Rear Shock: What the TR allows you to do is to select what sort of progression you would like in Descend mode: more linear, or more progressive. By flipping the Ramp Adjust Lever, you can decide how your shock behaves while descending. A more linear shock gives a rider the same amount of support throughout a shock's travel. The suspension is supple throughout, and is "easier" to reach the end of the travel, or "bottom out."
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, Lockout, Traction and Descend Modes (Linear to Progressive Custom Ramp Adjust in Descend Mode), Rebound Adjust
Genius Trail Geometry: Compared to the previous iteration, this one is slacker, has longer reach, shorter chainstays and a steeper seat angle. We really wanted geometry figures that would balance out the long front end for more stable descending. What they've ended up with is a bike that climbs like a bat out of hell and gets you down the mountain faster than you can say "dropping!"
DT Swiss Thru Axle: Working together with DT Swiss, Scott completely revisited the shape of the thru-axle lever to make it more ergonomic and to perfectly fit their frames.
ICCR Cable Routing: Routing the cables internally omits bulky external hardware and looks cleaner. The cables can endure a longer lifetime as they are protected within the frame. The entry points are machined alloy removable inserts that come along with the frame and can be chosen according to the setup of the bike. Assembling an electronic group or a dropper post will not be a problem and the look will always be clean-cut.
Integrated Frame Protection: From the clever downtube protector under the BB and along the downtube to the noise-silencing stay protector, this is a quiet, fast, and armored ride.
On Frame, Two Wheel Sizes: This model can switch from 27.5" to 29" wheels with nothing more than the flip of a chip. No need to change the fork, all you need to do is flip a shock mount chip, change your wheels and off you go. The flip chip allows Scott to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other which is key to keeping handling similar for both wheel sizes.
150mm Rear Travel
Fork:
Fox 36 Float Factory: For MY23 the FOX 36 receives an update in the form of a new crown with updated design and engineering for more steer tube overlap improving durability and maintaining stiffness while dropping 20 grams. It still has the lower leg bypass channels, bleeders, and stiffer arch, along with the fantastic GRIP2 damper.
Fork Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, Hhigh Speed Compression (8 Clicks), Low Speed Compression (16 Clicks), High Speed Rebound (8 Clicks), Low Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
Drive Train:
SRAM X01 Eagle AXS: There’s an element of the unknown when it comes to running new trail and racing blind. Enduro spec follows suit. X01 Eagle AXS utilizes the proven backbone of SRAM 1x. 520-percent gear range. More secure and longer wearing X-Sync 2 chainring. The resilience of an aluminum cage, paired with the connected components of Eagle AXS. Ready for the new gen of super bikes.
Brakes:
Shimano XT 4-Piston: The system adopts a power transfer system in which the disc brake rotor is pressed by the smaller sized piston at the entrance of the disc brake rotor intake and also by the more powerful larger sized piston at the back. This prevents the wobbling motion of the disc brake rotor and reduces noises significantly. The 4-piston caliper also allows a wider contact area for the disc brake rotor while keeping the size compact, and the efficient location of pads is adjusted as necessary to stabilize the pressure.
Shimano RT-86 ICE Tech Rotors: 203mm Front / 180mm Rear
Wheelset:
Maxxis Dissector Front Tire: Designed in conjunction with Aussie DH racer Troy Brosnan, the Dissector seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control.
Maxxis Rekon Rear Tire: Wide knobs down the middle provide control under braking and L-shaped side knobs assure support when carving loose turns. With confidence like this you can race more and scout less with the Rekon.
Syncros Revelstoke 1.5 30mm Wheels: Designed for enduro and trail use, these rims are tough enough to handle all-day punishment without failing deep in the backcountry while staying lightweight enough to accelerate with the lunch ride crew.
Additional Features:
Syncros Hixon iC SL Carbon Bar/Stem: This ultralight one-piece bar/stem combo is built for aggressive trail riding. With a 6° upsweep, 9° backsweep, 15mm rise, and 780mm width, it has all a demanding rider needs--including a stem!
