Genius Carbon Main Frame with Alloy SL Swingarm
Evo-Lap Carbon Technology: Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, Scott optimized the carbon layers in all the parts of the frame. When the parts were bonded together in the first prototypes, the result was a super light and compact frame without sacrificing the stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. This allows them to make the most efficient layup possible.
TwinLoc Suspension System: With TwinLoc, a rider can effectively control the complete frame, fork, and shock as a system. Why does this matter? A bike with 150mm of suspension travel, correctly set up, has more sag than a bike with 130mm. It's that extra travel that makes it more fun to ride and more capable on the descents, but the greater sag has an oversized effect on the bike's geometry and climbing performance. That's where TwinLoc matters. Via a handlebar remote, you can choose from three bikes in one!
Fox Float Performance Rear Shock: Performance Series FLOAT shocks have fewer adjustments than Factory Series (no Open mode adjust tuning range), and have black anodized air sleeve and body instead of Genuine Kashima Coat.
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure / Open, Medium, Firm Compression Modes / Rebound
Genius Trail Geometry: Compared to the previous iteration, this one is slacker, has longer reach, shorter chainstays and a steeper seat angle. We really wanted geometry figures that would balance out the long front end for more stable descending. What they've ended up with is a bike that climbs like a bat out of hell and gets you down the mountain faster than you can say "dropping!"
Easy Wheel Size Changes: No need to change the fork, all you need to do is flip a shock mount chip, change your wheels and off you go. The flip chip allows you to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other which is key to keeping handling similar for both wheel sizes.
ICCR Cable Routing: Routing the cables internally omits bulky external hardware and looks cleaner. The cables can endure a longer lifetime as they are protected within the frame. The entry points are machined alloy removable inserts that come along with the frame and can be chosen according to the setup of the bike. Assembling an electronic group or a dropper post will not be a problem and the look will always be clean-cut.
Integrated Frame Protection: From the clever downtube protector under the BB and along the downtube to the noise-silencing stay protector, this is a quiet, fast, and armored ride.
DT Swiss Thru Axle: Working together with DT Swiss, Scott completely revisited the shape of the thru-axle lever to make it more ergonomic and to perfectly fit their frames.
SW Dropouts: These dropouts are designed to be integrated on the thru-axle system thanks to a hollow tubular design that allows a simple and lightweight structure. Available for SRAM and Shimano DM derailleurs, this dropout increases the stiffness and avoids damage to the frame in case of impacts on the rear derailleur.
