Spark 3 Alloy SL 6011 Aluminum Frame: With custom butted and hydroformed tubes, a tapered headtube, and Boost spacing, this frame shares its geometry with its carbon Spark cousins.
Integrated Suspension System: An integrated shock platform allows Scott to refine suspension characteristics without sacrificing weight. The frame construction around the shock and with the trunnion mount is much more rigid, reducing movement and fostering more efficient power transfer. Frames also have a lower shock placement which lowers center of gravity. As a result, the bike benefits from better handling, and a more stable, confidence inspiring ride for the end user.
Single Pivot Suspension Layout: The Spark’s suspension layout has a very specific and proven kinematic and less unsprung mass. Using a flex pivot in the seat stay is an ideal solution for bikes in this travel range. This allows for a very lightweight system while still ensuring optimal suspension performance.
TwinLoc Suspension System: With TwinLoc, a rider can effectively control the complete frame, fork, and shock as a system. Why does this matter? A bike with 150mm of suspension travel, correctly set up, has more sag than a bike with 130mm. It's that extra travel that makes it more fun to ride and more capable on the descents, but the greater sag has an oversized effect on the bike's geometry and climbing performance. That's where TwinLoc matters. Via a handlebar remote, you can choose from three bikes in one!
RockShox Deluxe Select RL3 Rear Shock: Deluxe Select delivers a lightweight package with the same proven damping performance of the entire Deluxe family. Now featuring Maxima Plush fluid for added performance and ride quality.
Shock Adjustments: External Rebound Adjustment / Air Spring Pressure
Easy Shock Access: Accessing the shock via the bottom bracket area is facilitated through a hatch. This makes it easy to adjust rebound, compression, shock pressure, and for installing or replacing the cable for our TwinLoc Suspension System.
Adjustable Head Angle: With the new Spark, you can adjust the head angle by .6 degrees slacker or steeper. This can be done without cutting cables or bleeding brakes. All you must do is disassemble the bar, rotate the headset cups 180 degrees, and reassemble.
ICCR Cable Routing: Routing the cables internally omits bulky external hardware and looks cleaner. The cables can endure a longer lifetime as they are protected within the frame. The entry points are machined alloy removable inserts that come along with the frame and can be chosen according to the setup of the bike. Assembling an electronic group or a dropper post will not be a problem and the look will always be clean-cut.
