Norco Shore A1 Complete Mountain Bike 2022

Reports of Freeride's death have been greatly exaggerated. Just when we eliminated the "freeride" filter from our product pages, we were presented with the Norco Shore A1 Complete Mountain Bike! This shuttle-ready bike definitely deserves the freeride tag, with 180mm of huck-to-flat travel and a parts spec that's made for precision on the chunkiest of raw trails. Equipped with an idler-pulley, its classic Horst Link suspension is primed to soak up all the drops you can muster up the courage to hit, all with no pedal kickback. If you wake up to blaring metal and your closet is full of flannel, the Norco Shore just may be for you.

Product Details

Frame/Shock:
Aluminum Alloy Frame
FOX DHX2 Factory Coil: Nothing sticks to the ground quite like a coil shock. The DHX2 takes that sensation and buttresses it with sophisticated progressive damping, a massive overall tuning range, and super low-friction internals in order to capitalize on the full race-spec magic carpet experience.
Shock Adjustments: Coil Spring Preload / HSC, HSR: 8 Clicks / LSC, LSR: 16 Clicks
Built for Aggressive Descending: By integrating an idler pulley into an elevated Horst Link design, a long travel rearward axle path optimizes suspension travel with minimal pedal kickback. Precision tuned, coil-specific suspension kinematics provide grip and support to boost jumps and shrug off deep landings on rough trails.
Ride Aligned Design: Ride Aligned™ matches each individual Shore to the human who rides it, creating a customized Freeride platform. Individual rider metrics, precise suspension kinematics, and proprietary app technology align you with your ride experience like never before.
Fork:
Fox 38 Factory: When you need to go really big, reach for the 38. Optimized for 160-180mm of travel and packing the same revolutionary feature set as the 36, the 38 redefines what you think a long travel single crown fork is capable of, and sets a new benchmark for confidence, performance, and durability. Welcome to the big time.
Fork Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure / HSC, HSR: 8 Clicks / LSC, LSR: 16 Clicks (w/ VVC)
Drive Train:
SRAM GX Eagle: GX Eagle is your partner for all rides, all the time, all day. Long days, quick rides and everything in-between, GX Eagle is the ecosystem at its best. With the all new 520% range, all new colorways and seamless compatibility with the rest of the ecosystem, GX Eagle is there to maximize the potential of your ride experience.
Brakes:
SRAM Code RSC: Code dominates the World Cup — and every downhill trail worth its salt. In the gravity world, this is the pinnacle of performance, power and control. With Code, SRAM tackled the problem of all-or-nothing, on/off braking. They built an authoritative 4-piston caliper and expanded the PiggyBack reservoir, giving Code fistfuls of power. Then, SRAM added a range of contact adjustments and pads, allowing you to determine how and when you dispense of that power.
Avid Centerline Rotors
Wheelset:
Maxxis Assegai Tires: Greg Minnaar’s signature tire – the Maxxis Assegai – provides tenacious, predictable grip across the entire profile no matter the lean angle. The Assegai can be used front and rear for a surefooted feel or as a front paired with a faster rolling rear tire.
e.13 LG1 DH Rims on DT Swiss 350 Hubs: Utilizing a 30mm internal width and an impact-resistant profile, these rims are as tough as aluminum wheels come. They are laced to proven DT Swiss 350 hubs, also known for their durability.
Additional Features:
TranzX YS105 Dropper Post: Every Sight features a short seat tube for maximum standover clearance, allowing size-specific, long-travel dropper posts to get seats completely out of the way in the rough stuff.
