Float, carve, and crush the backcountry on the Weston Backwoods Artist Series Splitboard, an off-piste adventure plank that loves fresh pow but doesn't mind the out-track. Its directional multi radial camber rocker profile has a wide nose and narrow tail, for float over a foot of fluff with enough stiffness for edge hold on hard pack. Karakoram Ultra Clips help the Backwoods feel solid and limit chatter for a secure ride that skins and rides with ease. Plus, as part of the Backwoods Fellowship Collaboration between Weston, Smartwool, and Zeal, Weston will plant 10 trees for every board sold. It doesn't get much better then that!

Directional Multi Radial Camber Rocker Profile: A gradual increase from the nose to a more aggressive camber radius in the tail provides better pop/dampening on drops and control on bigger lines.

Slayer Wood Core | Bamboo / Poplar: This is our bamboo/poplar core used in most of the boards in our line. Designed to be energetic and damp.

Laminates:

Tip to Tail Carbon: Carbon fiber run through the entire core from tip to tail to provide added pop and response.

Tri-Axe Glass: Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions.

Rooted Inserts: Just like roots help keep a plant grounded, flax reinforcement in areas of the core help increase strength and durability.

Sidewalls:

UHMW PE Sidewalls: Highly durable sidewall that protects core from impact and increases torsional stability.

Stitched Tips: Weston's tip spacers are stitched to the core to provide added durability.

Base:

Sintered 4000 Base: Fast ride, more durable, good wax retention.

Forged Tips: Stainless steel metal tip and tail pieces protect from damage and increase durability.

Topsheet:

Rugged Topsheet: Polymide is eco friendly and made from castor beans. The topsheet is durable and resistant to scratches and scuffs.

Karakoram UltraClips and Active Joining: Karakoram UltraClips and Tip-Locks use Active Joining to spring load the seam of your splitboard, eliminating the rattling shearing, and rolling inherent to passive slip-fit connections. Simply close the lever to lock in the most responsive ride.

Split Tech: Weston don't skimp on their splits. You'll see a full inner metal edge, complete with sidewall and dampening tape. Also, when facing a kick-turn on a steep slope, you want all the help you can get - that's why Weston balances their splits so that they are tail heavy.
