Frame/Shock:
Carbon C Frame: A minimal weight gain of approximately 250 - 280 grams (0.6 lbs) for the C frame over the CC due to the different grade of carbon used. Whether you're riding a carbon CC or C frame, you get exactly the same legendary strength and stiffness because Santa Cruz uses exactly the same manufacturing facility and techniques.
Superlight™ Suspension: Cross-country racing isn't a power lap around the park anymore. The courses are challenging and the competition fierce. Superlight™ provides traction to avoid the wobblers but keeps overall weight down. By reducing the amount of moving parts, bearings and linkages, Santa Cruz save up to 289g over previous models.

Featuring a dual phased-pawl drive mechanism accomplishing 90 POE and 4° engagement by way of a six pawl driver and 45 tooth drivering, 1/1 takes a no-nonsense approach in welcoming riders to Industry Nine.

At a genre blurring 1300g for a complete wheelset (with no rider weight limit and a market-defining lifetime warranty), the 28|XC features a new wider and lower rim profile to increase strength and lateral rigidity, while adding vertical compliance for enhanced traction. The new rim shape also eases tubeless tire installation and improves tire bead retention at lower pressure.
