Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29 3 Complete Mountain Bike 2021
The Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29 3 Complete Mountain Bike is a meticulously designed 29er that makes a strong case for one bike that can do it all. The shorter travel gives you the power to tackle techy climbs, while the oversized wheels and super slack geometry give you the chops and stability for comfort-zone-pushing descent speeds. The whole package is a super agile and responsive bike that inspires confidence at every level.
Advanced Composite Technology: Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in their own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Advanced Forged Composite Technology: A state-of-the-art high-pressure molding process is used to produce complex-shaped carbon fiber components that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than similar components made from aluminum. This technology is used in critical performance parts such as Maestro Suspension rocker links.
OverDrive: Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
Maestro® Suspension | 115mm: Whatever off-road adventures you seek, Giant's Maestro Suspension helps you make the most of your efforts. Control, traction, comfort, speed -- you get more of everything with Maestro. From fast and efficient XC bikes to long-travel downhill setups, Maestro is an adaptable full-suspension platform that offers smooth, active rear suspension for any type of trail and all kinds of terrain.
Fox Float DPS Performance Shock: This shock features a lightweight, one-piece EVOL air sleeve for responsiveness and sensitivity, a dual piston design, and Fox's proven DPS damper. Performance Series FLOAT DPS shocks have fewer adjustments than Factory Series (no Open mode adjust tuning range), and have black anodized air sleeve and body instead of Genuine Kashima Coat. A Performance graphics package ties in the black-on-black look.
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure / Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Modes / Rebound
Fork:
Marzocchi Bomber Z2: Not that long ago mountain bikes were simple – suspension opened up more terrain and, more importantly, it meant more fun. The original Z2 was there for the mountain bike suspension revolution –you simply mounted it on your bike and hit the trails. Less time prepping and fixing meant you could just focus on the ride. Twenty years later, that same DNA lives on in the new Marzocchi Z2; it’s ready to shred with smooth and plush suspension. The new from-the-ground-up Rail damper combines low maintenance with intuitive ease of use and impressive on-trail performance. The top-of-fork simple sweep adjuster from firm to open can lock out the fork or fully open the system with plenty of positions in between. The Z2 - it just makes everything easy.
Fork Adjustments: Sweep Adjuster From Firm to Open Position / Air Spring Pressure
Drive Train:
SRAM SX Eagle™: The latest addition to SRAM's 12-speed juggernaut, SX Eagle brings their amazing gear range, chain retention, and reliability to the masses. Say goodbye to your front derailleur and start pedaling: this group can handle everything from XC tours to all-mountain riding.
Brakes:
Shimano Acera MT400/MT401 Hydraulic Disc Brakeset
Wheelset:
Giant TR-1 Wheelset: Carrying over much of the same technology from their carbon off-road wheels, Giant’s all-new TR1 alloy Wheel system provides strength and reliability at an outstanding value. Based around 110mm and 148mm hubs, with a 30mm internal rim width to allow for wide-trail tires, the TR1 wheel features a freshly redesigned and more robust weld joint, giving you the control and confidence you seek; any trail, any time.
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire: With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking. Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there's a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire: With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo!
