Orbea Occam M30 Complete Mountain Bike 2021

A trail bike tough enough for the Pyrenees, the Orbea Occam M30 Complete Mountain Bike combines carbon fiber construction, progressive geo, and a great component set. It rides as smooth as it looks, with 140mm (5.5") of suspension travel at angles that just make sense. The relatively slack front end handles serious downhill obstacles with ease, while the steep seat tube keeps you centered for the climbs. Don't sleep on this Basque beauty, the Occam M30 is a fantastic ride.

Product Details

Frame/Shock:
Full Carbon Fiber OMR Frame: Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) fames add high modulus and high strength fibers to a standard layup to improve stiffness-to-weight ratios. Bladder molding with EPS forms and PU headtube and bottom bracket inserts stop wrinkling and unconformities in critical zones, allowing less carbon to be used while maintaining strength
Fox Float DPS Performance Rear Shock: Lightweight and efficient, the Float DPS Performance is a consistent performer and the best choice for a trail bike. With a 3-position DPS damper, dual piston valve design, and a confidence-inspiring pedigree, you can't really go wrong: light action off the top takes care of small bumps, and the damper allows for support on bigger hits.
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Compression Modes, Rebound Adjust
Threaded Bottom Bracket
Internal Cable Routing
Direct Mount Chainguide
Fork:
Fox 34 Float Performance: With the proven GRIP damper, this lightweight trail fork has enough adjustments to keep your ride tailored to the trail, but its baseline settings are fantastic. Inside there's an independent floating piston and a durable design that stays consistent throughout the fork's travel.
Fork Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, 3 On-the-Fly Compression Damping Positions (Open, Medium, Firm), Low Speed Rebound (10 Clicks)
Drive Train:
Shimano SLX M7100 Cassette: With its Beam Spider construction, the SLX M7100 12-speed cassette shaves weight while increasing Shimano's MTB gearing range another gear. Using Shimano's new Micro Spline freehub body and Hyperglide+ tooth profile, this 10-51T cassette delivers advanced shifting performance.
Shimano XT M8100 Rear Derailleur: The all-new XT M8100 series of derailleurs brings a new level of drivetrain silence thank to decreased tension in the low gear position and an added bumper on the pulley cage. Larger 13T pulleys increase efficiency and chain management while compatibility with Shimano's new 12-speed cassettes boosts range.
Shimano SLX M7100 Shifter: With quick lever access and a light and responsive lever action, the Rapidfire Plus SLX shift lever delivers smooth control out on the trail. The new I-SPEC EV lever offers a wide range of adjustments including increased lever slide range.
Race Face Aeffect Crankset: The new crank on the XC and trail riding scene is back with a new sleek two-tone color scheme and a 165 mm length. Aggressively attack any loamy surface with full confidence and without putting too big of a hurt on your fun funds.
Brakes:
Shimano Deore M6120: These 4-piston brakes deliver high stopping power in all conditions, and have a quick piston retraction time to aid in modulation. They're easy to set up, easy to maintain, and easy to bleed.
Shimano Ice Tech Rotors
Wheelset:
DT Swiss M1900 Spline 30: An all-mountain wheelset that's designed to spend all day taking hits without batting an eye, the M1900 combines trail feel with durability. Spline Hubs have quick engagement and the rims fight tire burps, allowing you to run lower pressures for maximum traction. Its 30mm internal width hits the sweet spot for wider tires, too.
Maxxis High Roller II Front Tire: An open and aggressive tread design gives the High Roller II excellent soil penetration and mud-clearing ability. A square profile provides a solid, consistent feel across the knobs. Modified knobs on the shoulder and center improve braking performance and traction on hard surfaces. An excellent choice for technical, loose terrain.
Maxxis Rekon Rear Tire: The Rekon is an aggressive trail tire inspired by the Ikon for intermediate and technical terrain. Wide knobs down the middle provide control under braking and L-shaped side knobs assure support when carving loose turns. With confidence like this you can race more and scout less with the Rekon.
