Frame/Shock:
Switch Infinity Suspension | 165mm: Switch Infinity utilizes a patented translating pivot that switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides excellent anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance and ideal suspension characteristics as it gets deeper into the travel. The Switch Infinity suspension was tuned for anti-squat and leverage ratio properties that emphasize the downhill capabilities while finding a balance for it uphill pedaling efficiency. Making this an enduro race machine that slays the down and get you to the top without ramping up the heart rate too much.
C/Series Carbon Frame: By making small changes in the carbon fiber layup of their TURQ Series bikes, Yeti was able to create a more aggressively priced carbon high-performance mountain bike. C-Series frames maintain the strength and stiffness of the TURQ Series. The carbon fiber in C-Series weighs a bit more, about 190g per frame. Every bike model is offered in at least one C-Series option with high-end components.
Fox Performance Vanilla Coil Rear Shock: The plushness and predictability of a steel spring is undeniable. Your rear tire will stay planted on the ground as it soaks up all hits--from huge to barely perceptible. Steel spring weights: S - 350lb, M - 400lb, L - 400lb, XL - 450lb.
Shock Adjustments: Preload, Speed-Sensitive Compression Damping
Internal Cable Routing: This may seem like a small thing, but having a clean aesthetic on the frame along with internally molded carbon tubes inside for hassle-free cable routing is key. It makes for a quiet ride and ease of maintenance. For Yeti, building a great frame is all about the details.
Integrated Axle and Hanger: The integrated axle and derailleur hanger system is built for simplicity and strength. Utilizing a left-hand thread to secure the hanger allows Yeti to incorporate the same machine piece for the axle retention. A clever little system the engineers spent many hours on that might get overlooked.
Bottle Cage Mount: Within the front triangle, fits piggyback shocks.
Fork:
Fox 36 Float Performance: Performance forks retain the same black anodized 7000 series aluminum upper tubes as Performance Elite, but have a different damper (FIT GRIP) with fewer adjustments.
Fork Adjustments: FIT GRIP 3-Position Lever (Open, Medium, Firm) | Rebound Adjust | Air Spring Pressure
Drive Train:
SRAM GX Eagle™: SRAM Eagle™ drivetrains are the only 1x drivetrains that are fully system engineered for optimal performance. Eagle™ drivetrains are designed, tested and proven to deliver the lightest, highest-performing, most durable systems for all riders on any trail. Eagle™ technology provides an expanded, optimum, gear range that allows you to realize your bike's potential beyond where it has ever been. Every SRAM GX Eagle™ component is 100% compatible with all levels of SRAM Eagle™ drivetrain systems.
Brakes:
SRAM Code R Brakeset: Sleek, easy to use, yet immensely powerful. Code R packs a winning punch with a reliable DirectLink™ lever mated to Code’s new oversized four-piston caliper. SRAM’s signature ergonomics are supplemented by the tool-free reach adjust for a fit to each riders’ needs, to unleash Code’s superior braking power, consistency and modulation.
SRAM Centerline Rotors: The CenterLine design provides a smooth, consistent, and quiet running braking surface.
Wheelset:
DT Swiss M1900 30mm Wheelset: At 30 mm internal rim width the M 1900 SPLINE 30 works for tires ranging from slightly wide to quite wide, allowing it to attack the hardest of terrains. But with a high-end build, butted spokes, patented aluminum Pro Lock nipples and the benchmark Ratchet System hubs, it still comes in at a low weight. Low weight means it's very reactive to rider input. Reactive means fun, and fun is why we are doing this, right?
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire: With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking. Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there's a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire: The DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.
Additional Features:
Fox Transfer Dropper Post: The Transfer continues an excellent reputation of smooth function and great reliability with an infinitely adjustable height design, and internal or external cable routing options. Low lever force and great modulation make it easy to regulate return speed and small height adjustments.
