G-1000 Lite Eco Body | 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton: G-1000 is a very study, rigid material but sometimes Fjällräven wanted something lighter. Enter G-1000 Lite, a less stiff, more flexible version of the original. And to avoid reducing its strength Fjällräven added rip-stop threads to boost its resistance to tears. It comes lightly waxed to offer some resistance to light winds and showers and, although it doesn’t safeguard against mosquitos, it still offers UV protection. As part of Fjällräven's commitment to using more recycled and organic materials, they now have Eco versions – made from recycled polyester and organic cotton – of all G-1000 fabrics.
G-1000 Eco Shoulders, Hood & Pockets | 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton: G-1000 is Fjällräven's own durable and verstaile fabric, a proven outdoor classic for any type of adventure at any time of the year. The tightly woven fabric is made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and can be waxed with Greenland Wax. This combination makes it extremely durable, highly breathable and also wind and water resistant.
Insulation:
lavalan®: lavalan® is completely made from natural raw materials, European virgin wool and biobased synthetic fibres (PLA). Wool is able to absorb and release humidity up to 36% of its dry weight which makes lavalan® the appropriate insulation for any kind of outdoor activity. It's very breathable, quick drying and always provides the right level of insulation without overheating. Black Diamond strategically maps lavalan® only where it is needed for maximum thermo-regulation and moisture management, delivering performance and protection for high-output aerobic activities.
