The Activator system has a soft plastic insert in the shell that stores energy when the boot is flexed and then gives it back when the boot moves back to neutral position. This gives the boot amazing rebound and energy. The Active Sole helps absorb shock and impacts without sacrificing precision and performance. The Bandit 1 was designed with expert skiers in mind who want a high performance boot but are no longer interested in anything as stiff as a racing requires.
