They managed to create a sole that is 30% lighter than previous offerings that still maintains superior on snow performance. The tread pattern has been precisely designed with Vibram for snowboard performance, reducing the rubber coverage while offering superb traction and durability where you need it most. LINER: Pro-Foam 3D IntuitionTM: Thermo-form EVA liner, Aegis Anti Microbial- K2 Snowboarding and Intuition continue to evolve the most comfortable and best performance driven boot liners in the world. Using UltralonTM EVA, a patented foam developed specifically to be lightweight, moldable, flexible and durable for riders at all skill levels, the UltralonTM thermo-forming foam is designed to be more resistant to pressure-related "packing out." This year’s designs have been enhanced with new internal and external heel hold systems and refined EVA construction for customer-targeted fit and performance.

The K2 Access SystemTM allows you to precisely control your liner's ankle support and heel hold on-the-fly from the outside of the boot while your shell is fully laced. You can also loosen your liner for lunch or on the lift and crank it back down when you are ready to ride without having to unlace your shell. The first time you try this, you will wonder how you ever rode without it.
HOW IT WORKS: The K2 Access Harness is securely stitched to the shell of the boot and tightens around the liner to lock your foot in position. Focus is on the mid-section of the foot to provide superior ankle support and heel hold. The tension is adjusted using the BOA CBR reel. The CBR Reel anchors the shell and liner together for perfect alignment and the knob stays securely locked in place while riding.
