When Atomic dropped the Backland Carbon a season and a half ago, people were blown away by how well it skied and toured, not to mention the fact that Atomic was finally allocating resources to a segment of skiing outside of racing. Two years in, and the Atomic Backland Carbon Alpine Touring Ski Boots still rule the roost, having proven their weight in Grilamid many times over. A fairly narrow-lasted boot that can be Memory Fit heat customized to fit most average or even wider than average feet, the Backland Carbon has an insanely smooth 74˚ range of cuff motion and a removable tongue that will inspire big days and help fuel those grand ski touring objectives.
