G-1000® Eco | 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton: G-1000 is Fjällräven's own durable and versatile fabric, a proven outdoor classic for any type of adventure at any time of the year. The tightly woven fabric is made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and has been waxed with Greenland Wax. This combination makes it extremely durable, highly breathable and also wind and water resistant. The water resistance of G-1000 products is easily renewable with Fjällräven's Greenland Wax.
Recycled Polyester: Fjällräven uses recycled polyester in order to reduce their use of non-renewable resources, prevent old materials from going to waste and create less air, water and soil contamination. Fjällräven's recycled polyester equipment is made from the polyester fibers of recycled PET bottles, usable second quality fabrics, fabric off-cuts and worn out garments.
Organic Cotton: Organic Cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Thirdparty certification organizations verify that their organic products use only methods and materials approved for organic production. Their methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Cotton is a natural fiber offering an unsurpassed soft, comfortable feel against the skin. Pure cotton garments are primarily recommended for easy--going activities and for use in hot climates, where its moisture binding properties give a cooling effect.
