Atomic Backland FR 109 Skis 2017

A ski that floats through the deep stuff, charges through crud, and won't weigh you down on mid-winter tours, the Atomic Backland FR 109 Skis are truly versatile skis. An update on the Automatic 109 of year's past, the Backland FR 109 incorporates Atomic's signature HRZN Tech for smoother transitions and better tracking without adding swing weight, and a carbon backbone for stability. Plus, the Step Down Sidewall 2.0 means you can still lay down an edge when conditions get firm. What're you waiting for? Get yourself a pair of the Atomic Backland FR 109 Skis and get out there.

Rocker Type:
Powder Rocker 30 / 55 / 15: Tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot creates a supremely versatile platform that excels in powder, crud, and everything in between. Powder Rocker 30 / 55 / 15
Shape:
HRZN Tech: Blends an ABS sidewall construction with a revolutionary across-the-ski (horizontal) rocker to add 10% more surface area in tip and tail. Light Woodcore: A lightweight laminated poplar core that doesn't scrimp on power or stability.

Carbon Backbone: An ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the length of the ski like a stabilizing backbone. This provides exceptional agility and edge hold with no extra weight. Carbon Backbone
Atomic Topsheets: Lightweight and highly resistant (made from 50% rapeseed oil).
Sidewalls:
Step Down Sidewall 2.0: Features a symmetrical step on each end that's stable, light, and durable. Step Down Sidewall 2.0
