THIS IS NOT AN AVALANCHE BEACON. The TX 600 can also be used for finding your canine companion caught in slides, and uses a different frequency than your beacon. It requires the Pieps DSP Pro to be functional. Again, this is not an avalanche beacon, it's for your dog or essential gear (like a pulk with your food for the month) only.
