Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings 2017
With a buttery smooth flex and years of experience under their belt, the Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings seek to redefine what it means to have comfortable bindings that'll still let you surf the slopes with confident control. Easy to use and surfy in feel, the Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings are the bindings that you won't outgrow after you dial in the basics of snowboarding.
Flex Rating: 3 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff): Softer snowboard bindings are comfortable and forgiving.
Baseplate:
Re:Flex™: With a minimized, cored baseplate and Living Hinge™ disc, Re:Flex™ dramatically improves board flex and feel, and reduces weight.
Single-Component Baseplate Construction: One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.
Lightweight Bombproof Polycarbonate: Buttery and playful for laid-back, relaxed cruising.
Re: Flex™ FullBED Cushioning: Full coverage cushioned platform maximizes comfort while minimizing fatigue. Anchored to the baseplate, the trap door design makes it easy to access the mounting hardware.
Highback:
Single-Component Hi-Back Construction: The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.
Living Hinge™: This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, but allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.
Zero Forward Lean: Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.
Canted Design: This ergonomic design follows the natural contours of your left and right legs to maximize control and comfort.
DialFLAD™: The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe, or back ’em off for jibbing.
Straps:
Lushstrap™: A comfortable 3D curved design to fit seamlessly across your ankles. The triple axis spine and concealed EVA padding add extra comfort, durability and flex to the binding.
Flex Slider: Makes the ankle straps move out of the way so you can step into the binding without obstruction. Burton's Flex Slider has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Gettagrip Capstrap™: Grippy rubber wraps response around the toe of the boot for a locked-in fit and pressure-free comfort.
Buckles:
Smooth Glide™ Buckles: Lightweight aluminum and polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power.
Additional Features:
Compatible with All Major Mounting Systems: Please note, the 3D Hinge Disc is required for mounting on 3D systems (not included).

Ability Level:
Beginner-Intermediate
Beginner-Intermediate
Whether you’re new to the sport or working on linking smooth turns, you fall into this ability level. Typical beginner skis and snowboards are usually built with softer materials, narrower widths, and feature cap construction for an easy to turn, forgiving ride. Beginner-intermediate boots and bindings are also built for ease of use and progression, featuring softer flexes and in the case of ski bindings, quick and safe release from the ski in case of a fall.
Flex Rating:
Soft
Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
