DPS Wailer T106 C2 Skis 2020

Behold DPS' flagship new touring ski, the DPS Wailer T106 C2 Skis. The centerpiece of their new Chassis Design ideology, the Wailer T106 is just about up for anything. This new philosophy centers around the concept that a ski should be built from your center of balance outwards, using variable material types, thicknesses, and shaping, rather than simply laying material down on a pre-determined mold, "sandwich" style. In the case of the DPS Wailer T106 C2 Skis, the combination of Tour1 construction and Chassis design creates a ski that is ideally suited for objective-oriented touring, ideally with fresh snow. The DPS Wailer T106 C2 Skis are extremely light, but deliver versatility and efficiency on the way down - a harmonious combination of sidecut and rocker profile that reacts to your every move.

Rocker Type:
Rocker / Camber / Rocker
Sidecut:
C2 Chassis: C2 sidecuts feature a blend of strategically placed radii that make the ski aggressive at the top of the turn, but also incredibly friendly when the ski is off-edge and drifting in mixed snow. That, coupled with varying radii in the tail section, make a C2 ski more friendly off-edge than anything DPS has built to-date in the sub-20m sidecut category. Further, these skis feature relatively high taper angles, which means the ski pulls you deeply into the turn with an immediate, responsive feel.
Core:
Tour1 Core | Balsa + Carbon: Tour1 is a targeted lightweight backcountry build that emphasizes fast ascents and class-leading downhill performance. It is significantly lighter than Pure3, DPS’ flagship construction. Whereas Pure3 is the ultimate in advanced ultra-powerful carbon ski technology, Tour1 skis are comparable in weight to the lightest backcountry-specific touring skis on the market while offering competitive differentiation by exhibiting superior, class-leading torsional stiffness, unmatched edge grip and dampening via a proprietary Tour1 specific aerospace carbon laminate. Why invest energy in long tours if you are forced to ride floppy touring skis that sap the performance and fun out of the descent? Tour1 Core | Balsa + Carbon
