From the mind of Stacia Bank, the Phase Five Swell Wakesurf Board fuses surf construction with a skim-freestyle mindset. With its thick GatorSkin™ construction, the Swell has plenty of natural float. On the other hand, the shortened nose and widened tail helps smooth out 360s and offers loads of pop off the curl so you can quickly shift from casual cruising to competition-style lines in a blink. Construction and Materials
GatorSkin™ – GatorSkin super tough carbon/aramid glass. The strongest material that Phase Five uses. Lightweight and makes a very fast/stiff board for those demanding the best performance.
Epoxy – Increased strength and stiffness especially when combined with carbon fiber.
EPS – Ultra light weight 2 lb.density core used in Phase Five surfboards. EPS foam melts at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid extreme heat and prolonged exposure to elements.
Texture – Textured finish used on selected premium boards. Less weight and increased performance.
V.R.T. (Vacuum Ribbed Technology) – Refined vacuum assisted hand lamination process with built in glass/bar stringers on the bottom edge of the board for extra strength and pop.
Propel – Propietary material used to create digital graphic inlays.
Fins
Quad – Four fins positioned to create a fun, but more controlled ride. Offers increased traction.
