Shaped by Scott "Butch" Bouchard – Byerly and Butch's longtime friendship and collaboration has produced some of the most popular shapes in the history of wake. Innovations like 3-Stage rockers and Molded-In fins have all come out of Mr. Bouchard's shaping room. Each board featured in the Byerly line was created and shaped by hand from a single piece of foam, designed to the exact specifications of the team. Over the years Butch has not only shaped each board, but also designed and perfected every construction and layup within the line. Carbon Energy Ring Sidewall – This construction incorporates Carbon and Kevlar strands into a 360 degree rope perimeter for durability and performance.

Aero Core Construction – Stronger and more responsive. Scott Bouchard has always utilized innovative new materials in all of the products he creates. AeroCore is no exception. This aerospace composite material is sandwiched between layers of glass creating a composite deck platform with superior stiffness and strength. This platform provides a more responsive feel by transferring rider's movements to the edges quicker. This reduced response time makes the AR-1 initiate an edge and release from the wake quicker than any other board in the line.

Biolite 3 Core

Cross Link Construction – This innovative construction method utilizes the strength provided by linking the top and bottom laminates through woven fiberglass stringers. These stringers are threaded through reliefs in the core allowing them to make contact with both the top and base fiberglass laminates. When the board is laid up the resin fuses with laminates to form a singular fiberglass structure.

Control Liner – This high-end liner is stable and supportive putting you in complete control. The 2017 models are built with thicker padding for a firmer feel with more rebound energy. The control liner also has a 3D molded Impact EVA bottom featuring 2.5 degrees of cant, toe lift, a deep heel cup and supportive arch underneath your foot.

Zonal Lacing – Standard on all LF Bindings, the dual lace zone allows the lace tension to be different in the upper and lower zones, as per the riders desires.

IPX Chassis – The IPX Chassis is the industry leading 6 inch spread chassis, integrated aluminum teeth, 6 degree attack perch, 2.5 degree cant and a variable dampening system for rider comfort.

Impact EVA Bottom – Specially designed foam that displaces high energy impacts and reduces heel bruises. Standard on all 6 in. chassis systems.

Integrated Aluminum Teeth – Aluminum teeth not only lock you into your stance angles, but also add strength to your binding chassis, eliminating heel lift and plate flex. The high tensile strength of the heat treated 6160 Aluminum eliminates heel lift when riding. This gives you more response through the board and binding as you ride.

Plastic Angle Locks – Nylon angle mounts allow adjustability for stance angle selection. The chassis compresses onto the angle lock insuring a 100% connection to the board.
