This pow-gobbling, cat-track airing, steep and deep machine isn't some one trick pony; thanks to the tapered underbite and burly flex, this directional set-back monster will follow through on a turn and speeds through bumps, ice and mixed snow conditions with power and control. Shape
Directional Twin Shape – A versatile shape, performs best ridden regular but also rides well switch. The nose is slightly longer than the tail.
Tapered Underbite – Each side of the board is segmented into 3 distinct parts, each with different radiuses. Traditional "tapered boards" take the full sidecut and pull the tail inward which is why they tend to wash out. The Tapered UnderBite Corrects this by: 1) keeping the sidecut parallel to the corresponding one on the other side of the board 2) increasing the sidecut depth as you move towards the tail creating a corrective hook to the taper.
Core
Carbon Powerdrive 2.0 Core – Lighter weight poplar and paulownia composition. Milled channels are filled with bamboo stringers wrapped in carbon. Responsive core that precisely matches and compliments the outlines of each board.
Weightless Core – The weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightweight and strength. Using a lower density species of poplar in areas that are not as structural and paulownia in the areas that are, Yes. is able to shave precious weight off of the board.

They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

Very Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
