Rocker Type

All Terrain Baseline™ – Designed for use anywhere on the mountain, K2's AT baseline allows for effortless turns in the hardest conditions. It also provides ample float in soft snow and crud. Designed as a directional baseline, AT has a medium rise through the tip and a lower rise in the tail. The perfect balanced baseline for a multi-purpose rider.

Tweekend™ – A revolutionary tweak to the ends of K2's industry leading Baseline technology. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the ends of the board, an additional rideable surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.

Flex

Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – A stiff deck that has a little give for a deck that remains stable at high speed.

Bambooyah Blend – Horizontal, skate-inspired laminated core of Bamboo and Wood. Adds strength, durability, and a damp feel.

Laminates

Carbon Web™ II – This core additive boosts the feel and energy return of your snowboard. By extending out beyond the contact points, it supports the whole length of the tip and tail. The result is a more connected feedback loop from terrain to rider.

ICG 20 – The integration of carbon into the fiberglass reduces overall weight and creates a smooth power transmission from you to the snowboard. In exchange, this increases pop and liveliness.

Biaxal Fiberglass – The classic structure laminate, biaxal glass provides a smooth all-purpose performance.

Sidewalls

Ultratech™ – Designed to make your splitboard strong, tough and lightweight. Comprised of a molded edge that lands on a small sidewall optimized to take the abuse of slapping and banging your two pieces together while skinning.

Base

Ø Sintered – This base is designed to reduce the amount of friction on the snows surface so you can go faster. It is ultra thin, lightweight and uses less material than more traditional bases.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Flex Rating

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

Spark R&D Arc Splitboard Bindings 2018

A true touring binding for dawn-to-dusk or overnight objectives, the Spark R&D Arc Splitboard Bindings are the lightest strap splitboard bindings in the world, due in part to the new for 17/18 ultra thin Pillow Line straps. Every feature is paired down to its simplest, lightest form, including the T1 Touring System, which means no more fumbling with pins in sub-zero temps and thick gloves. Instead, a simple slide and click keeps your bindings locked in tour mode, while the Forward Lean Adjuster gives you a whopping -13° for skinning. Not that this binding ignores the descent. The Rip 'N' Flip Highback has glass fiber content to add strength and responsiveness with a moderate flex.
