A forged carbon highback works with the Duraflex CD - MD base to create amazing response and control from the binding to the board. Combined with the Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcups, which adds rigidity and stability, you receive a tool that transmits energy extraordinarily well, while also remaining sturdy and reliable. Duraflex CB - MD Base – 5% binding to board contact allows for even board flex and is compatible with the 4 x 2 mountain pattern, as well as The Channel from Burton.
Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcups – The rigidity and strength of Extruded Aluminum act like a roll cage on a race car - stiffening the entire chassis. The male/female connection with the base provides a seamless response.
Vaporlite 2.0 – The evolution of closed cell foam often featured on high-end running shoes. Super durable and dampens vibrations in all temps.

ExoFrame / Air Ankle Straps – All new for 17/18, ExoFrame/Air produces strength and rapid response on the outside, fit and pillowed comfort on the inside.
Buckles
Magnesium 2.0 Ratchets – Four times stronger than aluminum with only half the weight. The 2.0 version is new for 17/18 season and is ten times lighter than the previous Union Magnesium Ratchets.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
