Designed by Union Pro Rider Gigi Rüf, the Contact Pro is one of the most sought after bindings in the Union line. Weighing in at only 720g, the Contact Pro focuses the strength of Duraflex™ in critical areas of the base for power, and takes full advantage of EVA dampening everywhere else. With only a 5% binding-to-board footprint, the Contact Pro has little effect on the board's true flex and provides a more natural response and feel. The Union Contact Pro Snowboard Bindings are the perfect binding for the rider looking to take their freestyle shred to the whole mountain.

Baseplate
Contact Pro Base – Extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. Made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST making the baseplate durable for endless shred.
Dupont™ Zytel® ST – The highest-quality nylon is used on all Union baseplates to result in strength, safety and security.
Multi Density EVA Bushing – Multiple zones of EVA create this restorative full bottom bushing, giving you natural canting and vibration dampening for season-long comfort.
Highback
Contact Pro Highbacks – Developed and tested by Gigi Rüf. The highbacks are incredibly lightweight, extremely comfortable and perform superbly on all terrain.
Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean – Quick and easy to use, adjust the forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
Straps
3D Direct Connect Strap System – Multiple layers of durable and lightweight material in the core evenly distribute pressure across the top of your foot, giving you a comfortable and responsive ride.
Buckles
Magnesium Buckles – A high-tech manufacturing process produces a material that is extremely strong, durable and mega-lightweight. Plus, magnesium is recyclable and is one of the most abundant materials on the planet.
Additional Features
Minidisk – Minimal binding-to-board footprint. Significantly reduces interference with your board's true flex and provides a more natural response and feel. Compatible with 2x4 and The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding is under, Union uses only the strongest steel on ALL hardware.

Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

Flex Rating
Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
