You're a powder player, huh? Step into the world of the K2 Pinnacle 118 Skis and blast off. Built to handle biggest, baddest terrain and the deepest days of the year, the Pinnacle 118s and their triple-threat Fir/Aspen/Maple core is complemented by responsive carbon at the tip and tail contact points for a powerful and stable ride that can drift blower and rail ice with the best of 'em.
Powder Rocker – High and long rise in the tip and tail to maximize float in softer snow.
Tapered Tip/Tail – A design feature that shifts the contact points with the snow towards the midsole of the ski, reducing deflection in the tip and easing turn release in the tail.
Konic Technology – Revolutionary core design that redistributes weight to the ski's perimeter providing power, strength, and stability directly over the edge for performance, while reducing swing-weight by removing mass from the center and extremities for added ease and control. 5% reduction in weight but a 15% reduction in swing weight.
Fir – Stiff, strong, dense wood for solid edge to edge performance.
Aspen – Lightweight with a resilient, damp, easy-to-ski nature.
Maple – Energetic, tough, dense wood that absorbs impacts.
Triaxial Braid – A K2-patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core for pronounced torsional strength, while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood ski.
Carbon Boost Braid – Braided carbon pattern in the forebody and tail for added pop and rebound in the critical areas.
Hybritech Sidewalls – Blending a sidewall construction underfoot with a full cap construction in the extremities. The sidewall section gives the ski accuracy, power and performance while the capped regions reduce overall ski weight and ease turn initiation and finish.
