Product Info

The Blizzard Rustler 9 Skis are a versatile freeride tool that don't just do "surfy" and "playful" but will also lay down precise turns when called upon to. The mid-90's waist width is ideal for groomed snow, but handles up to a foot of fresh with ease. Light on the feet and lightning quick in turns, the Rustler 9 retains high speed stability with the addition of a tapered D.R.T. Titanal insert and stout Sandwich Compound Sidewall design, both standard issue in Blizzard's new Rustler lineup. A do-it-all ski that does it all well, the Rustler 9 is part of the new breed of Blizzard freeride lineup that's finding fans all over the world.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Rocker Camber RockerSki profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.

Rocker ConceptIncreased tip and tail rocker to ensure ideal flotation at all speeds. Camber underfoot to provide control on compact snow.

Shape

Shape ConceptProgressive wide body style with an aggressive radius. Early rise tail designed to be playful in softer snow.

Core

Multi-Layer Wood CoreISO, Poplar, Beech, Balsa, Paulownia

Carbon Flipcore TechnologyA revolutionary rockered ski production process that incorporates a uni-directional carbon frame onto the core of the ski that results in great performance with a light and easy feel.

Laminates

Carbon Flipcore D.R.T.Blizzard's Dynamic Release Technology, shared by the Spur, Rustler and Sheeva series, utilizes a specially shaped Titanal component that is full width under the boot but tapers toward the tip and tail of the ski, to increase the ski's playfulness without the weight penalty and without sacrificing stability. Combined with unidirectional carbon fiber in the tip and tail, longitudinal stability is retained while torsional rigidity is lessened for a more playful and less hooky feel.

Uni-Directional Carbon Frame

D.R.T Titanal

Anti-Shock Layer

Carbon Fiberglass Compound

Sidewalls

Sandwich Compound SidewallAll Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

Base

Sintered Graphite Base

Additional Features

Dura-TecImproved durability through the use of thicker TPU foils on the topsheet edges.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
