Black Crows Anima Skis 2016

A new design for 2016, the Black Crows Anima Skis come alive in anything over 8 inches of fresh. The 115 mm width sits squarely between the super wide Nocta Air and the Atris, and is perfect for North American Western conditions. The slightly less grippy personality and "Double Beak" (Black Crows-speak for tip and tail rocker) of the Anima means you can easily throw the skis into a tighter turn when conditions demand, or adjust the arc of high speed turns to fit your mood.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
Double Beak | 18% Tail Rocker / 60% Camber / 23% Tip Rocker: Double Beak creates a ski that releases easily in the tip and tail. The central axis of the ski is dynamic, creating a ski that controls speed and trajectory very well in both powder and park riding thanks to it's easy pivoting style. This profile's balanced flex creates a stable, maneuverable ski that is nonetheless explosive when needed. A Double Beak ski benefits from being driven laterally in a centered stance, rather than forward through the tip of the ski. Double Beak | 18% Tail Rocker / 60% Camber / 23% Tip Rocker
Shape:
Directional Rockered Tail: Increases maneuverability and versatility without sabotaging the ski's responsiveness and alpine character.
Hexagonal Tip: The articulated tip is the first black crows ski to break from the traditional rounded tip.
Core:
Crow Single Gene Core: Reactive and trustworthy, a single species Poplar wood core provides a consistent, poppy tip to tail flex.
Laminates:
Triaxial & Biaxial Fiberglass
Carbon Kevlar Stringers
Sidewalls:
ABS Sidewalls: Durability and shock absorption across all snow and terrain.
Semi Cap: Durable construction that retains the edge power of sidewall construction while limiting chipping of the topsheet at the tip and tail of the ski.
Base:
Printed Base: Stone ground 34 times for a smooth, fast ride.
Edges:
Fat Edges: These thick freeride edges are denser, stronger and more resistant than conventional edges.
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
