Völkl's freeride reputation among hard-charging women skiers has been built and maintained over the years mostly by one ski -- the Aura. The Völkl Aura Skis combine a burly Multi-Layer Woodcore with two layers of titanal to produce a ride that caters to ladies who like their skiing smooth and fast -- and have the power to pull it off. Not a floaty, surfy ride that less aggressive skiers will easily take a liking to, the Aura is ready to reward those who have the strength and ability to take advantage of it.
Full Rocker – Völkl Full Rocker is a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and a symmetrical flex pattern. All the benefits of extra maneuverability in soft snow while delivering smooth, sexy arcs on groomed terrain. The matching flex and sidecut on the full rocker gives you full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more the ski is on edge the more effective that edge becomes, and the resulting smoothness and predictability is uncanny.
Moderate Tip & Tail Taper
Multi-Layer Wood Core – Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.
Power Construction – Construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.
Two Layers of Titanal
Full Sidewall – Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.
P-Tex 2100 Base – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

For those looking for a lightweight versatile freeskiing binding, the Marker Squire ski binding has proven itself. With outstanding energy transmission in a low-profile lightweight frame, the Squire will take lighter skiers from the park to the steeps without changing gears. Honestly, it's in the name: Just like the old-school knights, you now have a squire to help you go forth and shred!
Triple Pivot Light Toe – Compact design features a horizontally-oriented spring. The Triple Pivot Light toe offers a unique combination of light weight and solid power transmission.
Gliding AFD – All Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFD is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.
Hollow Linkage Heel – The Hollow Linkage Heel features a hollow horizontal axle that saves weight and maximizes power transmission, creating a light weight product with phenomenal power transmission.
Stand Height – 22 mm

Always known for combining a high level of performance and comfort in their women's boots, the Tecnica Mach1 95W MV Ski Boots set a new standard with a re-designed anatomical shape, and vastly improved C.A.S. (Custom Adaptive Shape) liner. The 100 mm fit works great with most average width feet, and a new soft Quick Instep insert in the instep area makes putting the boots on (and taking them off) super easy.
Last: 100 mm – Performance fit and above average instep height for average width feet.
C.A.S. Shell – Custom Adaptive Shape shells are anatomically formed around the heel and problem areas at the factory. Common punch zones are plainly marked with a dot grid pattern on the shell, and the new polyether and Triax 3.0 shell materials offer improved stability when heated.
Quick Instep – A shaped plastic component at the instep that is softer than the rest of the shell helps you to step into and out of the ski boot.
C.A.S. Grindable Boot Board – The removable C.A.S. boot board offers plenty of thickness for grinding and a grid pattern for reference.
Flex: 95 – A stiff flex for advanced skiers who require quick rebound and ski response for steeper terrain.
Quadrafit Ultrafit Liner – A comfortable, thermoformable fit featuring 3D EVA rubber ankle protector padding.
C.A.S. Liner Technology – C.A.S. Technology focuses on the critical fit areas of the foot to achieve an accurate anatomical shape using dual density pre-shaped thermoformed microcell material. This provides a great out-of-the-box fit for enhanced sensitivity and power transmission all while allowing for liner customization.
Shell – Polyester with co-molded softer Quick Instep insert for easy entry and exit.
Cuff – Polyolefin
Adjustable Cuff Alignment – Double Oversize Canting

35 mm Power Strap
